It seems to me there is one singular universal truth and there are many ways to describe it.
The ancient traditions,
The religions,
Philosophies,
Psychologies,
And sciences all describe it in their own ways from their unique perspectives.
But in this practice.
I want to know how you describe the truth.
Not the ways you've heard it described by others.
And also not the ways you've described it in the past.
The true answer.
You cannot be prepared.
It is found.
So I'll ask you this question in a little bit.
Don't worry about it for now.
First,
Let's just become present.
So if it feels right,
You can allow the eyes to be closed and the body can relax and release however it can.
And the breath can breathe.
As deeply as it would like to and you might follow the breath like an anchor dropping a bit more deeply into this present moment.
The deeper you go.
The wider,
The more expansive your awareness.
With each breath.
Dropping a bit more deeply.
Into the present moment.
And the deeper you go.
The wider.
Your awareness.
Being awareness itself And now thoughts of future and past are way off in the distance,
Up on the surface.
We are in the depths.
Of consciousness.
Deeper and deeper.
Unto the truth.
That has always been here.
Always will be here.
And is here right now.
It is who you are.
It is what everything is.
The truth.
The truth.
The DNA of the universe.
That exists within every seemingly separate thing.
Within you.
Within me.
Within the space between us.
The truth.
And now I will ask you a question and I encourage you to allow the answer to arise as a present moment discovery in whatever form it takes.
A word,
A sentence,
A poem,
An image,
Or something completely nonverbal and without image.
Maybe just a feeling.
It can be anything.
And it can be nothing.
As long as it comes from here.
And so.
.
.
Here's the question What is the truth?
What is the truth?
Now I'll make a slight variation.
Maybe the answer remains the same.
Maybe it changes slightly.
What is the truth?
Right now.
What's the truth right now?
And now one last variation.
Again,
Maybe the answer remains the same.
Or maybe something changes.
What is your truth?
What is your truth?
And now maybe just releasing the answers and simply being the truth.
Being.
The truth.
You are the truth.
You are the truth we've been trying to describe for all of time.
You are the truth.
You are the truth.
So here's my encouragement to express yourself.
I think the world needs you too.
Because when you do,
You encourage others.
To do the same.
So now you might just come back to the breath.
A few more deep breaths allowing the body to relax again release again whatever it might keep holding on to.
And very gradually if the eyes were closed.
Just allowing them to reopen whenever they feel like it.
And if you ever want to come back and try this again,
It could be interesting to see how the truth changes.
Or stays the same.
You are.
