Before you start thinking about all the stuff you have to do today, and your mind starts racing with nonstop planning and organizing, try this morning meditation to help you create a focused, content, and optimistic mindset. This practice helps boost positivity levels first thing in the morning, not only setting the tone for the day, but also allowing you to change your outlook and your focus.

Make sure you are super comfortable and make any last minute movements or adjustments and slowly come into stillness.

If you haven't already,

Gently close down your eyes and take a slow,

Deep breath in,

Holding at the top for a moment and letting the breath out as slow as you can.

Each time you breathe in,

Breathe all the way down into your stomach.

Breathe in slowly through your nose,

Filling your abdomen and lungs expanding with air.

As you draw in a long,

Deep breath,

Allow your breath to flow back out through your mouth.

Let go of each breath and with it release any tension or stress you might have been holding onto.

You might like to mentally repeat the word relax as you breathe out.

Adjusting and lengthening the timing of your breathing will allow you to effortlessly loosen any stress in your body and more easily drop into relaxation.

You may like to count your next out breath and adjust your in breath to match it.

Say three breaths in and three breaths out.

Continue this for a few more rounds,

Going deeper and deeper into relaxation with each round.

You are now completely comfortable and feeling peaceful,

Relaxed and at ease.

It's now time to leave the external world behind and go on an inner journey.

A journey of reconnection to the safe and supported version of you that first came to this earth many years ago.

Often the fast pace of life dulls our inner light that we are born with or covers it up all together.

So now is the time to dust off that light,

Blast away any negative thought patterns or hell of beliefs that are no longer serving you so you can reconnect to the amazing person that you are.

That person that is full of love,

Joy,

Peace and enthusiasm for life and everything it has to offer.

Now I'd like you to visualize a beautiful light cascading down like a shower of light from above,

Almost like fireworks of light cascading down in and around you,

Sparkles and beautiful balls of light laminating every pore of your being.

This light has a beautiful pale blue colour like the light colour of the sea,

The nice warm Mediterranean sea.

This beautiful baby blue light is flowing into your body,

Enveloping your being.

With every breath you take it flows and envelopes you with love and protection.

Feel how it soothes any nervous and thoughtful tension and anxiety.

It leaves you feeling calm,

Quiet and still.

This beautiful warm colour washes away any negativity that has built up during the week,

Any emotional upset,

Leaving you nice and calm.

If this light senses any negativity it bounces off like a firework,

Sparkling away,

Burning away that tension,

Soothing away any knots.

Just allow yourself to bask in this beautiful light.

Feel it sweeping over your body,

Down to your toes and out of your body,

Taking away all that you no longer need on an emotional or physical level.

This lovely colour flows down from the top of your head into your body,

Making your body smile,

Relax and each cell unfollows itself like a flower in the sunshine.

Allow this beautiful energy to pour into your body.

It is creating change at a cellular level,

Balancing hormonal energies,

Soothing and wiping away any dis-ease that may be in your body.

It's creating balance in your body,

Leaving the yin and the yang part of your being in pure harmony.

The energy flows around your eyes,

Down towards the limbic system,

Making your blood circulation flow freely and your body seeing the being of life and joy.

Feel the positive emotions surging with this colour.

The body breathes in hope,

Breathes in joy,

Feeling relaxed,

Knowing yourself,

Your worth and your value as who you truly are.

From deep within this silent space inside you,

A voice can be heard.

Its loving words echo in your mind.

I am without beginning or ending.

I am eternal.

Like the universe itself,

I am limitless.

I am free from all concerns about the past or the future.

There is only now.

I release my grip on life and allow a free flow of energy into my life.

I am open to all of life's experiences.

In the quiet spaces between my thoughts,

Inspiration comes to me.

I rise effortlessly above all challenges to a place of serenity and inner knowing.

I deeply trust in the natural flow of life.

Just let these words sink deeply into your soul,

Into your mind creating change and neural level.

It's now time to gently reawaken to conclude this morning meditation.

Keep this feeling of your true limitless,

Inspired,

Peaceful self with you as you go about the rest of your day.

Embrace this true self and allow you to simply be you.

Start to gently wiggle your fingers,

Waking up your hands and arms.

You might like to move your toes,

Allowing your feet and legs to start to wake up.

Feel your muscles reawakening and your whole body filling with energy.

If you are lying down,

You may like to roll over to your side and lie quietly for a moment before sitting up with your eyes still closed into a cross-legged position with your hands at your heart center.

Giving thanks for this practice,

Thanks to yourself and thanks to the universe.

You can gently open your eyes now and sit for a moment while you reorient to your surroundings.

When you are completely awake and alert,

You can return to your usual activities feeling confident and calm and fully in touch with your authentic self.
