This morning meditation focuses on a few different ways that you can greet the morning to make it the best start to the day that you possibly can. The practises enclosed in this meditation will enable you to greet each morning with joy and sunshine in your mind and body.

This morning meditation is going to focus on a few different ways you can greet the morning to make it the best start to the day and enable you to greet this morning with joy,

Sunshine in your heart and mind.

You may still be in bed so get yourself into the most comfortable position that you can.

Make sure your whole body is in a straight line with your hands by your side and that you are comfortable and warm.

Or if you are sitting straighten your spine with your head directly above your shoulders.

Not straight but not rigid.

Begin to bring your focus from outside of you to within.

If you hear any sounds outside of the room just hear them and refocus within.

Or if you hear any sounds within the room just hear them and refocus within.

Don't get caught up in creating stories around these sounds.

Just use them as a signal to go within and focus on the here and now and what's happening inside your body.

You may do this by feeling your breath coming in and out of your body.

Or you may focus on sensations that you are feeling in your body.

They may be related to your breath or not.

Just take a few moments now to feel anything that is happening for you right now.

Just sit with these sensations and feel into them.

As you feel your body and mind start to relax into the surface below I would like to suggest some things that you may like to do in the mornings before you start your day.

To give yourself a boost in mood or light of fire in your belly.

To be fully present with yourself,

Your surroundings and the people that you meet today.

By becoming fully present within yourself you are more able to gain the full benefits and see opportunities and ways forward that you may not have otherwise seen.

Let's start this journey now into the possibilities of this morning and ways to ensure that you have the best day ever.

I like to read inspirational text in the morning.

It really gives me a lift that stays with me throughout the day.

You might like to find your own or you can let these words wash over you.

Even the smallest of thoughts have the potential to become the biggest of successes.

All you have to do is to get up and get going.

Smiles add value to our face.

Love adds value to our heart.

Respect adds value to our behaviour.

And family and friends add value to our life.

Or my favourite,

Good morning.

This is not just a greeting.

It signifies a hope that the beautiful morning will bring a smile on your face and happiness into your life.

Just let those words sink in and wash over you as you continue to relax.

Another uplifting way to start the day is through the practice of gratitude.

Just lie or sit for a few moments and allow two or three things in your life to come to the surface of your mind.

Don't think too hard.

Just whatever pops into your mind.

It can be as simple as a good night's sleep.

Two thanks to the universe for the sunshine and the fresh air that you breathe.

Really feel into these gifts that you have in your life.

These things that you cherish and are so grateful for.

By pausing and giving deep recognition to these gifts,

We not only feel happiness and joy in our body.

We raise our vibrational levels to allow more of these gifts to come into our lives.

You may,

When this meditation is over,

Like to write these gratitudes down.

By committing them to paper,

You enable a deeper connection to them.

And also,

Over time,

You will create a beautiful record of the many blessings that you have in your life.

I'd now like you to envision your day ahead.

Just connect with the activities and people you know you may be going to interact with today.

Don't get too caught up in the story or in emotions that surround these events.

Just envision any big events that you have today or any interactions that may be of a concern.

Just imagine them going really well.

Imagine yourself walking around in a positive and upbeat mood,

Creating happiness and joy wherever you go.

If you have a presentation on or a job interview,

Imagine them going really well.

You have all the answers.

And people keep giving you compliments on your self-assurance and ability to maintain presence and confidently guide proceedings.

In line with envisioning your best day ever,

I'd like you to go within now.

Go into your heart space.

Breathe a deep breath into this space and imagine yourself there.

Again,

Think of your day and choose a word that represents how you want to show up today.

Don't think too much about this.

Just allow whatever comes up to come up.

The first word that pops into your mind.

Words that I find powerful include energized or joyful,

Purposeful and calm.

Just allow your word to manifest itself into your heart and your mind.

See it in big bold letters shining brightly before you.

As you allow this word for the day to permeate your whole body,

Imagine yourself stepping outside into the beautiful sunshine that greets you this morning.

Once outside,

Take a few deep breaths of fresh air and become curious of the beauty that is all around you.

You may see a bird flying high above or there may be a slight warm breeze blowing the leaves of a tree or even just the vastness of the sky.

Really connect with the beauty that surrounds you,

Everything you see,

Hear,

Smell and touch,

Be grateful for.

The feel of the warm sun on your skin,

Breeze might be blowing your hair.

The world that you live in,

The people that surround you and the opportunities that come into your lives that give you the chance to grow and expand into the most exquisite representation of yourself.

Thank you.

As this beautiful morning journey comes to an end,

Just allow your focus to return to your breath,

Into your body lying or sitting on the surface below.

Begin to hear the sounds that are all around you and gently start to move your body.

You may like to wiggle your toes and fingers or take yourself a big full body stretch.

And when you're ready,

Open up your eyes and have an amazingly inspirational and joy-filled day.
