This meditation will help you replace fear based thinking with love based thinking.

The continued use of this meditation will establish an automatic loving thought process.

So every time you are making a choice you will ask yourself Is this choice going to cultivate the experience of unity and love or the experience of separation and stress?

Listen to this guided meditation at least once a day for a full week or more to really help establish your positive love based thought patterns.

Now let's start with a breathing meditation where you will practice one pointed focus on your breath.

This will calm your mind and relax your body and get you into a deep state of relaxation.

There is no right or wrong way to meditate.

Whatever you experience during this breathing meditation is right for you.

Don't try to make anything happen,

Just observe.

Begin by finding a comfortable position either sitting on the floor with your legs crossed or if you prefer you can lie down.

You can close your eyes or have a soft focus on one spot in the room.

Roll your shoulders slowly forward and then slowly back and lean your head from side to side lowering your left ear towards your left shoulder and then your right ear towards your right shoulder.

Start to relax all your muscles and observe your breathing.

Notice how your breath flows in and out.

Make no effort to change your breathing in any way.

Simply notice how your body breathes.

Your body knows how much air it needs so there is no need to worry.

Just sit there quietly seeing in your mind's eye your breath flowing gently in and out of your body.

When your attention wanders as it will just focus back again on your breathing.

You may notice any stray thoughts but don't dwell on them.

Simply let thoughts pass by like clouds in the sky and see how your breath continues to flow deeply and calmly.

Notice the stages of a complete breath from the in-breath to the pause that follows and then the exhale and the pause before taking another breath.

See the slight breaks between each breath and feel the air entering through your nose.

Picture the breath flowing through the cavities in your sinuses and then down to your lungs.

As thoughts intrude allow them to pass and return your attention to your breathing.

See the air inside your body after you inhale filling your body gently.

Notice how the space inside your lungs becomes smaller after you exhale and the air leaves your body.

Feel your chest and stomach gently rise and fall with each breath.

Notice now how your body feels.

See how calm and gentle your breathing is and how relaxed your body feels.

Take another slow deep breath and let go of any extra tension you may feel in your body as you feel yourself sinking into the surface below becoming still more comfortable and relaxed.

Take another slow deep breath and release your thoughts letting them drift far,

Far away.

Take another slow deep breath and know that in this moment all is well.

There's nowhere to be,

Nothing to do except sit and enjoy the peaceful relaxation that you're feeling.

Now bring your awareness into your heart in the centre of your chest.

Notice the softness there,

A feeling of peace.

Take a moment to enjoy this feeling as you quietly focus in your heart and follow your breath in and out.

Imagine you're seated on a really comfortable couch in the middle of a large living room accompanied by several dozen people who are very kind,

Friendly and loving.

Some of the people you may know,

Some of them seem familiar and some you've never seen before.

There is little conversation and the lighting is soft and quiet music is playing in the background.

Everyone has gathered here to honour,

Appreciate and meditate on Universal Love.

It's the love that stands behind all of creation,

Weaves its way through everything and supports all life,

Including your own.

Soon everyone becomes silent and a deep feeling of peace settles over the room.

Love is filling the room,

Being welcomed in by the open hearts and the kind thoughts of everyone here.

Some of the ones closest to you are first to notice,

But soon everyone,

Including yourself,

Is feeling the warm,

Comforting feeling of love.

You may first notice it as a gentle warmth around your chest,

Delicate and sweet,

And soon you can feel it surrounding your entire body.

Take a few moments to allow love to fill you and enjoy its presence and the feeling of safety and support that it brings.

To experience love even more deeply,

Follow your breath.

As you breathe in,

Inwardly say the word love and as you breathe out,

Inwardly say the word peace.

Continue to follow your breath and as you breathe in,

Inwardly say the word love.

Now as you breathe out,

Inwardly say the words I am safe.

Imagine that the warm,

Gentle feeling of love flowing over and expanding through your life,

Supporting you 24-7 every day from now on.

Envision yourself as you go about your day,

Filled and surrounded by the support and protection that love offers,

Banishing fear and negativity of any kind.

You may choose to see it as a beautiful golden glow surrounding you in every situation and even while you're sleeping.

Take a few moments to do this now.

Now listen to the following affirmations and allow them to resonate deep within.

I will say them twice.

You may like to say them internally the second time.

Love supports me every moment of the day and night.

No matter what happens,

I am safe and guided by love.

No matter what happens,

I am safe and guided by love.

I am surrounded and filled by love from head to toe.

Everything in my life is held by love and unfolding according to plan.

Everything in my life is held by love and unfolding according to plan.

Everything in my life is held by love and unfolding according to plan.

Take a moment to project your mind forward in the future to a time where you might normally experience fear.

Send your future self the feeling of love and safety you're experiencing right now.

And imagine your future self receiving this and becoming peaceful.

Operating from love is to set our own ego aside long enough to listen to the experience of the other.

To be courageous enough to be willing to try and understand what the other person is experiencing.

No matter how radically different it is from what we intended to happen,

Think happened or believe was the cause of what happened.

It is to have the strength of heart to understand and open our heart to what the pain is that the other is skillfully or unskillfully trying to express.

A response,

Not reaction,

That comes from love or listening to the other's upset as if we were just ears hearing,

Ears alone.

Not ears attached to a head,

Attached to an ego,

Attached to an identity,

Attached to a person intent on remaining intact and unchanged.

To live from love,

Not fear,

On a practical level is to shift from a goal of protecting our ego,

Being right,

Winning the argument,

Being not to blame and moving to actually being kind,

Being loving in our actions.

It is to be willing to stop proving that we're a good person and actually be that good person.

To be courageous enough to open our heart and be love even when our ego is screaming in fear.

And amazingly,

In the moments when we have the strength to choose love over fear we are rewarded not only with the knowledge and confidence that we have done something incredibly challenging and beautiful but also with the gift of experiencing ourselves as love and something infinitely more than just the small,

Fragile ego we thought we were and so desperately needed to protect.

We are rewarded with a freedom that surpasses all other freedoms.

Ultimately,

It is through our willingness to stop defending our dear of ourselves that we discover our true and indestructible self.

Really feel into these ideas.

Feel into the peacefulness and calm of discovering our true selves.

We are love.

We are full of love.

We deserve love.

It will soon be time to begin your journey home.

But first,

Take a moment to thank yourself for giving yourself this opportunity to get quiet,

Rest and connect within and practice coming from a place of love rather than from fear.

Bring all the benefits of this experience with you as you gently bring your awareness back to your physical body.

Take your time and when you're ready,

Open your eyes and feel awake,

Alert and full to the brim of love.
