This is a simple meditation to shift your negative thoughts and set the intention for your day ahead.
Sitting in a comfortable position with your eyes closed,
I want you to gently place your hands on your lap.
We're going to start to get you deeper in your body through your breath.
I want you to take a deep breath in for a count of 1,

4,
Pause,
Hold your breath,
And then exhale for 4,

Repeat,
Inhale for 1,

Pause and hold.
Exhaling for 4,

Stay with me.

I want you to imagine your day ahead.
Before you get too deep into your to-do list for the day,
I want you to set an intention for your day.
Would you like to go through your day with ease?
Would you like for your day to be one filled with joy?
Would you like to go through your day feeling calm and at peace?
Would you like your day to be one of no stress?
I want you to pick one intention,
A word or two that makes you feel like it would give you access to a great day.
Now hold that intention in your mind.
I want you to visualize what a great day would look like if you're able to hold on to this intention throughout.
If you want ease in your day,
How would a stressful interaction with a client or coworker go different than it typically might?
If you want happiness in your day,
How can you let go of a situation that might be upsetting and choose happiness and your well-being first and foremost?
I want you to visualize how it would make you feel if you were able to practice your intention today.
Keeping your intention in mind,
Put one hand on your heart and take a deep breath in and out.
Remember that you get to choose moment to moment the opportunity to pause and come back to the intention you just set.
If you stay with this intention as a reminder,
As a practice to be able to choose again,
Slowly and surely you will be able to shift your days over and over again.
