
Detox Meditation
Learn how to cooperate with your body’s natural process of detoxification. Amplify this ability to let go of old habit patterns. Release physical toxins from a subtle level. Practice receiving wellness into your body.
Transcript
This is the detox meditation.
Go ahead and take your seat of an upright spine,
Drawing your thighs back and apart,
Resting your hands on your thighs,
And releasing your weight into your pelvis while lifting your torso and your skull up to the sky.
Let a refreshing breath come in and out.
It's noticing that the breath itself starts this process of detoxification,
This process of releasing stagnant energy and attuning to the natural energy of prana,
The natural energy of the life force coming in as oxygen and intelligence into you.
So often when we are feeling toxic inside or when we're in a cleanse or in a detox,
We can feel that there's a stagnancy or a stuckness or a transition that's happening.
So first off,
We want to allow for anything that's arising to be okay.
And anything that's arising in your detox is okay.
And anything's arising now that makes you feel like you need to detox is also okay.
Even if it doesn't feel okay,
It's okay.
So this is the attitude.
This is our posture.
And it's all okay.
And perhaps we sense we'd really like something to change,
Something to go away.
But instead of trying to push it away,
We're just going to allow the space for it to be okay.
Tap into a cooperative attitude with whatever's arising.
We're going to cooperate.
Whatever it is,
Whether it feels like a toxic emotion or whether your mind is spinning with toxic thoughts or you just feel the gunk and goo of your body releasing or wanting to release some of the stored stuck energy,
Some of the stored stuck stuff even,
Physical stuff that's congesting your inner space.
And we're going to collaborate.
We're going to collaborate with the toxicity.
We're going to even collaborate with the body,
With the mind,
With the emotions.
We're going to end the war and start the cooperative.
And take a moment and simply notice what your intuition is letting you know about the toxicity,
Whether you feel that you've been eating the wrong foods or too much food in the past and that's starting to move because you've changed what you're eating or whether you need to change with your eating so it starts to move.
Just notice your intuition is brilliant and sightful.
It's really a goddess.
It's ready to be called upon to inform you of the highest next actions.
And notice if there's any toxicity in your mental state and if your mind's been busy,
If there hasn't been enough time for meditation or self-care or deep rest,
Just notice there's been stress and there just simply needs to be meditation or time in space to absorb and release.
And notice in your emotions if there's been a lot of emotional havoc,
Crises,
Catastrophes,
Drama.
And just giving yourself some space from it that it,
We're going to cooperate.
We don't need to push it away or stuff it or kick it out.
You're just going to let it be there that it's just in the is-ness of things.
Nothing really we need to do.
So this second part of the detox meditation that we're going to cooperate and cooperate with intuition,
You can just simply ask intuition,
Ask this goddess of higher knowing,
God of higher knowing within you.
If there's any deeper insight that you need to know about in this process of detoxification,
Just allowing the space,
The information that you're getting is useful,
Insightful.
And now that you've heard,
You've listened and even if it was hard to listen or hard to hear,
That's okay too.
If there's confusion,
That's okay too.
So this third part,
We're going to take action.
We're going to take action by attuning to the water element.
Historically in the human psyche,
The water element is the element that cleanses,
Purifies,
Nourishes.
So we're going to invoke the water element in this detox meditation just by allowing.
First just allowing the breath to move the waters of the body.
Its stagnant water is dirty water,
Sukkha,
Dirty.
Clean water is sukkha,
It's clear and it flows with ease.
Clean water moves.
So let the water element of your body,
The waters of your body,
The fluid of your body,
And your lymph and your blood,
And your fluids even,
And your cerebrospinal fluid,
Your reproductive fluid,
All the fluids of your body,
Let them flow.
Just giving way,
You can even visualize this rivers and streams and waterfalls.
It's water moving,
The water in a waterfall.
Think of the water in the pool of the water flow,
It's refreshed and clear and clean and sparkling and aerated,
It's full life force.
You might notice you're rocking slightly,
Subtly,
That's fine.
There's that movement happening in your subtle body.
Notice how the water is purifying,
It's cleaning up,
Moving,
Flowing.
It's like water running over dirty dishes.
It's gently moving away and helping the gunk,
The goo,
The stuck stuff,
Letting that transform and it's also transforming in its purification.
Just allowing that,
Allowing the old mind patterns,
The old emotional patterns,
The old physical gunk to actually flow and be transformed by the waters of consciousness.
And notice how when we detox in this nourishing way,
This collaborative way,
That there's space for a deep nourishment,
A very deep sense of satiety.
And take that in that you feel satisfied,
That that's possible even in this detoxification,
Even while things are on the move,
Even while there may be some confusion.
We have to create the space for this intrinsic nourishment of water.
Knowing that this process of detoxing happens on its own.
We simply align our actions with the process,
Align our attitude with the process.
Just letting yourself be in flow.
And notice if you're starting to feel a little more clean,
A little more grounded in purity,
A little lighter.
So you can do this detox meditation whenever you feel that stuckness,
That toxicity,
The sense that you need to shift something,
Something needs to change.
Do the detox meditation and allow the water element to create the experience of sautia,
Or a clean inner space.
In this clean inner space,
Notice how you are more conscious.
You'll make better choices to bring in through your five senses and through what you taste,
What you swallow,
What you smell,
What you hear,
What you see,
What you touch.
You'll be more selective to match this inner experience of sautia with that which will enhance it from the outer world,
Being more selective and more selective over time.
So that this inner space becomes an inner sanctum,
Rarefied,
Purified with the highest vibrational energy,
Your natural energy,
For you to experience your authentic nature.
