The direction of air,

Where the sun rises,
Where the moon rises too,
The place of enlightenment,
Where all things begin anew.
Focus on the qualities of air,
What gifts it brings,
What strengths it has,
What opportunities it holds.
Feel yourself becoming air.
And move now to journey to the south,
The direction of fire,
Of creativity,
Where the sun stays all day long,
The place of passion,
Where the spark of ideas become manifested.
Focus on the qualities of fire,
The gift of its heat,
The strength of transformation,
The opportunity it holds to shine the light.
Feel yourself becoming fire.
Begin now to move to the west,
The direction of water,
Where the sun sets,
The place of emotion,
Of tears,
Where we lay the day and our worries down.
Ponder these qualities of water.
The gifts it brings with its suppleness,
The strength it has for healing,
What opportunities it holds for you.
Feel yourself becoming water.
And turn in the circle toward the north,
The direction of earth,
Where the night is darkest,
The place of closure,
Of winter,
Where we go to hibernate and rest for a new day.
Think about the qualities of earth,
The gift of its solidity,
The strength of its mountains,
The opportunities deep down in the dirt.
Feel yourself becoming earth.
And close the circle now with yourself.
Feel the four elements together in your body,
In your spirit.
Feel yourself at the center.
And prepare to return,
Balanced,
Centered,
Elemental.
