So deep breath in and stretch,
Allow your energy to open and enlarge.
And then as you exhale,
Settle back and feel your back muscles relaxing.
Feel your hips and pelvis letting go and sitting more solidly in your seat.
Breathe in and as you exhale,
Feel relaxation through your neck and throat,
Collar bones and shoulders.
Feel the whole trunk of your body.
Breathing in,
Breathing out.
Peaceful,
Still,
Calm and relaxed.
In this meditation,
We will take the energy of the equinox to create balance in our bodies,
Minds and spirits.
So begin now by focusing on the places where your body is touching the floor or the seat and the earth beneath you.
And breathe into that stability and solidity.
And then begin to notice the feel of air on your skin,
On your face and arms,
The whole sky above you,
Air and breeze and connect with that with the above.
Feeling how the air comes into your body through your breath and how your body gives back to the sky with your exhale.
And now in your belly,
Locate the center point between earth and sky,
Below and above.
And feel yourself sitting in balance between these two realms.
Now become aware of the left side of your body,
Your left foot and legs,
Your spine and your spine.
And then begin to notice the left side of your body,
Your spine and leg,
Left hip and waist,
The left side of your belly and chest,
Your left shoulder,
Arm and hand and the left side of your neck,
Throat,
Your left shoulder,
Your left hip and your left leg.
Feel the creative connecting,
Nurturing energy in this left side of your body.
Everything you do to serve and help and take care of yourself and others.
And then let your attention switch to the right side of your body,
Your right foot,
Leg,
Hip and waist,
The right side of your belly,
Back and chest,
Your right shoulder,
Arm and hand and the right side of your throat and neck,
Face and head,
The whole right side of your body that represents the logical step by step,
Results oriented thinking part of you.
Honor all you do to plan and prepare and work logically in your life.
And then let your attention move again to the center of your body,
Feeling the balance between the right and the left sides,
The creative and the logical,
The nurturing and the practical.
Feel yourself in balance between these two sides.
Then let your attention move to the whole front side of your body.
We might call this the day side,
The side of sunrise and afternoon sun,
And the beautiful colors of sunset and evening.
The way you face the world each day,
Honor that light in you.
Feel the light of the sun and the day in the whole front of your body.
And then let your attention move to your whole back body,
The night body,
The body that rests in bed in the dark,
The parts of you that honor sleep and dream and the magic dark of intuition.
Honor this whole back body,
The night of who you are.
And then again,
Feel the center seam between these two sides,
Day and night,
Light and dark,
And feel the balance within you.
And in these last few moments,
Recall the below and the above,
Balanced in your core.
The right and the left,
Balanced in your core.
The light and dark,
Day and night,
Balanced in your core.
You are balanced.
As you move and rest,
As you grow and stay still,
You hold this balance deep within you.
