Heart Breathing Meditation.
I invite you to take the Hridaya Heart Mudra with this meditation.
A mudra is a gentle soul gesture coming from the body.
So to take this mudra you simply place one hand over the other and then place your hands over your heart center,
Your heart space,
Your energetic and spiritual heart in the center of your chest.
This heart mudra offers us deep support.
It instills a sense of safety inside of us.
It cultivates trust.
It's like a hug for the heart and it connects you to your higher self.
I am offering a mantra you may like to use throughout this practice.
Breathe in,
I arrive.
Breathing out,
I am home.
So to begin our practice bring the hands over your heart and close down your eyes giving your mind and body permission to relax here.
With your eyes closed take a moment here to notice your breath,
Feel the depth of your breath,
The temperature.
Notice the gentleness of your chest softly rising and falling as you breathe.
Breathing into your left shoulder,
Your right shoulder.
Breathing into the left side of your neck,
And the right side of your neck.
As you breathe releasing tensions from your jaw and belly,
Allowing a sense of ease to now flow through you.
Become aware of this life force energy moving through you as you breathe.
Feeling the breath as a soft slow dance.
Allow yourself to become more intimate with it.
Now begin to breathe into your heart space,
Softly breathing into your center,
The heart of your soul.
This part of you that forever resides in peace.
With each breath give your heart permission to open.
With your hands on your body feel this sense of coming home to yourself.
Noticing the power of the hands to bring loving awareness to meet ourselves and all that is moving through us.
Let your awareness nestle in your heart,
Allow yourself to bathe now in the breath.
There's no need to prove anything or be anyone else in this moment.
Right now just be.
Just be you.
Give yourself your loving attention and presence.
Allow yourself to be home.
Breathe into your heart as you arrive.
Breathe out and sigh as you come home.
Continue to be with your heart and your breath for as long as you wish.
