Hi there,
Thanks for joining me today.
Today's meditation is going to be to open our energy centers or chakras that line the spine.
So for today's meditation be in a lying position.
You lay down on your bed,
The couch,
The floor,
Whatever feels comfortable for you.
If you need any support maybe a bolster or pillow under the knees help release the low back.
Adding any anything that will help your body feel most comfortable.
When your body is comfortable then it allows the mind to go where it needs to go.
So once you are lying down just let your eyes begin to close.
Starting to take some deep breaths,
You can take a few clearing breaths,
Releasing what's no longer serving.
Each breath allowing the body to become more and more relaxed.
As we bring our attention to the different chakras throughout the body welcome to bring your hands onto those areas if that will help draw your attention there.
But you certainly don't have to,
You can just let the hands lay beside the body,
Maybe on top of the belly,
Whatever feels comfortable for you.
Beginning to imagine that there's a golden sphere of light at the crown of your head.
Breathing deeply and slowly into this space five times while you keep your attention on the sphere of light,
Feeling it radiate from the top of your head.
Now allow your attention to draw to your third eye center,
Space just between your eyebrows,
Seeing this golden light radiate in this area.
Breathing in and out of this area five times.
Now allow your attention to draw towards your throat.
Again,
Imagining a golden sphere of light emanating from your throat area.
Breathe slowly in and out five times with your attention on this light.
Allowing your attention to move down to the center of your chest.
Once again,
Imagine the golden light radiating from the center of your chest.
Again,
Taking five deep breaths as you feel the energy expanding more and more.
Next,
Bringing your attention to your solar plexus just below your ribs.
Visualize the sphere of golden light all around your midsection.
Breathing into it slowly five times.
Now visualize the light glowing in and around your pelvic area.
Again,
Taking five deep breaths,
Feeling the light energy radiating and expanding.
Reaching to your hips,
To your sex organs,
Illuminating this area of your body.
Finally,
Visualize the glowing sphere of light around your feet.
Breathe into it five more times.
Now begin to see all of the spheres of light glowing all at once so that your body is like a strand of jewels radiating energy.
Just noticing what it feels like to have all of the spheres lit up,
Your whole being radiating with light.
Breathing deeply and as you exhale,
Imagine energy flowing down along the outside of the left side of your body from the top of your head to your feet.
As you inhale,
Imagine it flowing up along the right side of your body to the top of your head.
Circulate it around your body three times in this way.
Then visualize the flow of energy going from the top of your head down along the front side of your body towards your feet as you slowly exhale.
As you inhale,
Feel it flowing up along the back of your body towards the top of your head.
Circulate the energy in this direction three times.
Now imagine that the energy is gathering at your feet and let it flow slowly up through the center of your body from your feet to your head,
Radiating from the top of your head like a fountain of light,
Then flowing back down along the outside of your body towards your feet.
Repeat this several times or as long as you wish.
Beginning to deepen your breath.
Slowly bringing your awareness back to your space.
We'll take three clearing breaths together.
A big inhale through the nose and then sighing it out the mouth.
Take your hands and rub them together creating some heat.
Place your hands over your eyes feeling the warmth around your eyes and your face.
Slowly crack open the fingers letting some light in.
Open the eyes.
Slowly let the hands come away from the face just beginning to take in your surroundings once more.
Just noticing how your body feels,
How your mind feels after giving yourself some time.
Then just let your hands draw towards the prayer position at your heart center.
Let the eyes close again,
Bowing your head towards yourself.
Just send yourself a prayer of gratitude,
Thanking yourself for being present,
Being focused on you.
