Hello,

Thanks for joining.

Today I'm going to lead you in a guided meditation and visualization to create your inner sanctuary.

This is a place where you can go to in your mind's eye to feel safe,

To feel secure,

To feel comforted,

And it's just something that you create with your imagination.

So the power is really in your hands.

Anything can go in your sanctuary.

It can be another world.

It can be underwater.

It could really be anywhere that your imagination wants to go.

So find a comfortable seat or lying down wherever your body can be the most comfortable so your body's not a distraction during meditation.

So once you're there we'll just take some big deep breaths together in the nose of the mouth.

So I'm just letting your body become more and more relaxed with each inhale and each exhale.

I'm just giving the mind and the body a chance to settle down before we enter into our meditation.

Just taking big full deep belly breaths.

Letting your body know that it's safe to relax.

It's safe to be at ease.

Letting your body be as completely relaxed as it can be.

So and when you're ready beginning to visualize the space where you would like your sanctuary to be,

It could be in the forest,

On the beach,

In the mountains,

Maybe underwater,

Maybe in the sky,

Even a whole different planet or different time.

I'm giving your mind a few breaths to decide on where you would like your inner sanctuary to be.

You might have to go through a few places to decide on which one feels right for you.

And once you've decided,

Just taking a survey of the landscape.

Noticing the different plants and animals,

Noticing the sun or the moon,

Maybe there's a breeze flowing by,

Noticing the temperature,

Noticing the sounds,

The smells.

Just letting your inner senses take in the scene,

Noticing each detail,

Creating a vivid landscape in your mind's eye.

Letting yourself get a sense of what it feels like for you to be here.

Should be an overall sense of safety and security.

And then noticing the more subtle feelings that come.

In the beginning to make any adjustments that you need to to make the space feel more homey,

More comforting.

There are no limits here in your inner sanctuary.

Anything goes.

So if you need to move a tree around,

If you want to put in a waterfall,

Whatever you need to make it more appealing for you.

Giving yourself full freedom to do whatever your heart desires,

Knowing that only you get to experience this inner sanctuary so your desire is the only thing that really matters.

Maybe you decide you want to build a structure for yourself.

Maybe you just want to bring in some pillows and blankets.

Again,

There's no rules here.

So if you do bring in blankets and you're worried about the sand,

There are special blankets that resist sand.

Letting your imagination really run wild,

Bringing what you need.

Starting to fill in all the little details.

Maybe you have a pitcher of water,

Maybe you have some candles or incense burning.

Maybe you have a tea set,

A cup of coffee.

Maybe you want to bring in some activities for yourself,

Some paints or crayons.

Adding in all the little touches that you need to make this space exactly what you need,

What you want.

Once you have all the details exactly as you want it,

Let yourself begin to enjoy this beautiful landscape,

Surroundings that you've created.

Knowing that if you want to change anything,

You're welcome to at any time.

I'm going to play the sound bowls while you let yourself enjoy your inner sanctuary.

We'll be here for a few more moments.

Just letting yourself really soak it all in.

So so so so so so so allowing yourself to find some gratitude for this beautiful place that you've created,

Your inner sanctuary,

Your safe place.

As we begin to close,

Letting yourself know that you can come back here at any moment in time.

All you have to do is close your eyes,

Have a desire to be there,

And you're there.

Your imagination has an amazing capacity to have your body be in a physical place,

But your mind could be anywhere in the world,

Anywhere outside of this world.

Stay here as long as you like.

Feel free to pause this video and come out when you're ready.

Whenever you are ready to leave,

Let yourself begin to walk on the path away from your sanctuary,

Walking out of this space.

Maybe you just see yourself walking straight back into this space in time.

Maybe you'd like to have a door or a gate for your sanctuary,

A special way that only you know how to get in.

Knowing yourself to say bye to your sanctuary for now,

And knowing that you can come back whenever you choose.

Starting to take several deep breaths,

Slowly inviting your awareness to come back to your body.

I'm just letting your right hand come over your belly,

Your left hand over your chest.

Take three big,

Clear breaths together just to close out our meditation.

Let your hands draw towards your heart center and prayer position.

Thanking yourself for taking this time,

Thanking your imagination for being rich and vivid.

Thank you all for being here with me today,

Sending you all love,

Light,

And peace.

Namaste.
