With repetition is the mother of skill.

I'm speaking into the microphone that's going to bring on the sound to Insight Timer.

So thanks a lot for being here.

It's called repetition is the mother of skill because repetition is the mother of skill.

And because everything,

When we start doing stuff that we are uncomfortable with,

Has to do with repeating it,

Repeating it,

Repeating it.

Not giving into the part of us that wants to give up.

Not giving into the part of us which is afraid of failure.

So there's a minute left.

I'm just going to close my eyes for 30 seconds.

Just notice my breathing.

Remember why I'm here.

Remember that I'm here to make a significant positive change in the life of other people and my own,

My family.

And I can only do that by learning,

By sharing,

By understanding.

Becoming more skilled at it by repetition.

Alright.

And the part of counting down has actually become a fun thing or a good thing.

Well,

We are all here,

Right?

Where else could we be?

So let's just wait a minute or so,

Just see if everybody who wants to be here will be here.

Alright.

So listen,

This is my day 5 of 7.

As I mentioned yesterday,

I've decided to do another 7 days.

I am considering having an interval,

Just a pause between the 7 days.

And the reason why I'm doing this is,

If this is the first time joining the session,

Is that through repetition we can,

You know,

Realize any dream that we have.

We can put into play everything that is inside of us,

Including our fear.

So I started out with the live events like two weeks ago.

First was great,

Second not.

And I noticed the fear starting to arise inside of me.

And me not really being that sure that I wanted to do this.

But I know that I need to,

You know,

Take a hold of that and then make a decision.

Is this something that I want to do or not?

And it is definitely something that I want to do.

And I know from experience that the only thing that I need to do is to repeat,

Repeat,

Repeat.

And to have a lot of different things that I need to be willing to feel.

So this was the sheet that I did on the first day.

This could inspire you to do something similar if there's something that you are,

You know,

Struggling with wanting to achieve but not really achieving.

Might be difficult to read so I'll just go ahead and read it for you.

Yes,

I am willing to fail.

I am willing to feel everything.

I'm willing to be 100% honest.

I'm willing to not give up.

I'm willing to have fun while doing this.

Meditation doesn't need to be all serious and concentrated and all that.

We can have fun.

I'm willing to ask for honest feedback from you guys.

I'm willing to feel my heart pound hard when things go wrong like it did two days ago.

I'm willing to accept my over energy in my body when I really get,

Oh,

It's all good.

Then I'm willing to feel that as well.

So accepting what we are not usually willing to feel in the process of becoming better at something,

Becoming more skilled by repeating it is so important.

We have so many things inside of us that might challenge our ability to continue doing what's important for us.

So we need to decide what it is that we need to be willing to feel in order to continue a really good process.

This morning I was still,

Oh no,

Why am I doing this?

I'm tired.

But I know that this is just in the beginning.

Everything is hard to begin with.

Right.

So also for you guys that might be new in this circle,

I talk a bit.

Then we meditate.

Then I talk a bit.

Then we meditate.

So I'm here to inspire.

I'm here to make this significant positive change in the lives of other people,

In my own,

My family.

And I'm so focused on what we actually are giving,

Passing on to our children and generations,

Seven generations forward.

If we look back on our parents,

Their parents,

We can see what's been given,

Passed on.

That's good.

But also what's not that good.

So let's go ahead and start with our intention meditation.

So the intention meditation is all about just relaxing for a bit.

I'll guide us all through it.

And then just asking that question,

What is my intention for this time spent with these guys,

This circle?

What would I love to bring with me?

So you can close your eyes,

You can keep them open.

I'm practicing the repetition of looking into the camera and guiding the meditations.

So that's going to be what I'm I'm practicing,

Challenging myself on.

So just take a couple of deep breaths.

And if it feels natural,

Just have a small smile on your lips,

Just a small one,

Tiny one.

Just enough so you can feel it in your eyes as well.

Notice your in-breath,

Notice your belly rise and your chest rise and on the out-breath,

Notice it fall.

Maybe you can hear your heartbeat.

Maybe you can feel it.

Feeling that chair or the pillow or the wall supporting you,

Carrying you.

Feeling the warm sensations or the cold sensations,

The warm felt in the.

.

.

Behind the clothing that you might be wearing and your skin exposed to the air might be a bit more cold.

Taking in a couple of deep breaths again.

Notice those shoulders relax.

Everything is safe.

Everything is good.

Everything is okay.

And if the smile has faded,

Just reconnect to the small smile,

Just a tiny one.

And continue this breathing,

This conscious breathing as we take the next step,

Which is to tap into your intention for the time spent together today.

So what is it that you would love to bring with you after this session?

And what is it that this session could represent in your life that you might actually want to bring on for the rest of your life?

Yesterday there were some different words.

There was happiness and calm,

Peace,

Focus,

To just be open to whatever arises inside of you.

And whatever arises,

Just be very open,

As if it was an old friend just knocking on the door and you opening that door and feeling so happy.

Inviting the friend in,

Hugging the friend and not wanting that friend to leave ever.

So just be open to whatever sensation and really let that feeling spread in your body,

Your emotions,

Your mind.

Okay,

So I'll just take a couple of deep breaths again before we finish off this first set of meditation.

Maybe stretch or whatever you might feel would be good.

Okay.

Just go ahead and use it if you have any questions at all.

I would love to hear whatever intentions are out there.

Not because we're going to go specifically into one of them or some of them.

I usually comment on some of them or try to bring in some perspective.

Not holding back by fear.

That's a very important one and such a difficult one.

Okay,

So we with with these different things.

And let me just also repeat that.

Yeah,

Actually repeat because I've been repeating this the past four days.

When we put things out there,

When we voice it or we write it down in a journal,

We actually we're putting it out there.

I'm a spiritual guy and I'm still trying to figure out the thing with the law of attraction and and how the universe listens and all of that.

I want to be open.

But let me just share a small story from yesterday.

I've been skateboarding since I was 13 years old.

I started a skateboard school seven years ago.

It's become really big.

We have around 550 members,

Kids who learn all this stuff as well.

And yesterday I was so inspired by another guy from the US,

Dustin Poirier,

Which is actually a UFC fighter.

And he started this good fight foundation.

And I was thinking,

Man,

We're doing a lot of good things already with with with the skateboard school.

But I want to get out there and really get a lot more of the kids that are not,

You know,

With the funds to buy skateboard or a helmet or getting,

You know,

Education skills from teachers.

And we were having this good talk and this good vibes with the three other guys from the company.

It's an association.

Three hours later,

Simon calls me and says,

This is crazy.

He's been just been contacted by somebody who has a facility where there's so many young kids that that don't have,

You know,

They're struggling.

And they would love to talk to us about something with with with having skateboard classes for them.

So I was I got goosebumps yesterday.

And what's important for me sharing this is that that.

Yeah.

The thing was with trusting the universe,

Trusting.

And I don't even know what I'm talking about when I'm saying this,

But I can feel that there's some truth to it,

Trusting the universe,

Trusting that when we put things out there,

When we want to,

You know,

Trust or feel calm or want to not giving into the fear,

Let's put it out there by journaling,

By voice recording,

By sharing in the common field or something like that.

So repetition is the mother skill,

Because when we want and we have these intentions,

We need to find out what is it that we need to practice every day,

Despite the fact that it might be uncomfortable.

Like I started doing with this,

These live events,

I'm feeling a lot more comfortable now.

So what can we do every day?

What can you guys do every day for the next seven days?

Daily,

Just putting the bar not too high.

But what can you do every day?

That could have that repetition.

Create a stronger muscle into trusting,

For example.

So we tend to enter these things from what we've been talking about the other days below the line.

I'll say something more in the finishing part where we look at all the things that are,

You know,

In the way of us achieving that.

We're going to repeat that meditation in a bit.

So we need to look at what is in the way of us trusting,

For example,

What's in the way of everything that we're dreaming of doing and how can we start mobilizing repetition in order to move away what's standing in the way.

So,

For example,

With fear,

If we focus on what is standing in the way that will grow,

You know this,

What you give energy grows.

If we give the fear energy,

It grows.

So we need to focus at what's above the line.

We need to focus of what it is actually that we want to achieve.

So moving away from from focusing on fear to focusing on strength.

Usually in meditation,

We're very occupied with the feminine part,

The soft part.

So what we also need to meditate on is our strength,

Our power,

Our power animal and stuff like that.

There's so much great stuff to meditate on.

So let me just see if there were any comments that I can add something to.

Accepting my own issues and limitations and learn to manage them so I am able to do more.

Yes,

Yes,

Yes.

And as I mentioned,

Repetition doesn't require any talent.

It doesn't.

Everybody can repeat.

And the only thing we need to achieve what we want is repetition so we can have any kind of story,

Any kind of narrative,

Any kind of sorry,

Shitty childhood.

We all have partially.

And but let's not have that standard in the way of us achieving what we want.

So repeating whatever it is that we need to in order to just move a little bit closer.

That's the way we eat an elephant.

Right.

A small bite at the time.

Yeah,

So before we move on to the next meditation,

It's so important for me that the reason for me doing this,

I'm also recording and all of this audio stuff is going on on Inside Timer,

Is that usually when we go in and look,

When I go in and look at the live events,

I'm looking at people with one thousand five hundred people attending and two thousand people attending and five hundred and something.

And I'm oh,

No.

If that's the the my success rate is how many people are attending.

This is I'm completely off.

So I'm super glad that you guys are here.

And I decided that,

You know,

Even if there's nobody here,

I'm going to do it anyway because repetition is the mother of skill.

Then I would be creating the content file for for Inside Timer audio that would have to do with with doing what we want to do without having anybody listening or watching us.

But we're doing it because we know that that's what we're here for.

So important not to compare to anybody else,

But to ourselves from yesterday.

Guys,

Let's just get comfortable again.

We're going to do the second set of meditation.

So just and again,

I'm going to be doing this with open eyes because that's my repetition.

That's what I want to practice.

You guys can go ahead and close your eyes.

It's going to be the same repetition as yesterday's meditation.

We're going to be doing the visualization of our dream,

What we really want to achieve,

Whether whether it's peace or family.

It could be a girlfriend,

Boyfriend.

It could be something materialistic.

It could be anything.

There's there's no rights or wrongs.

So so visualizing that and then calm breath,

Breathing,

Calm breathing.

Do you say calm breathing or calm breath?

I'm not sure.

Maybe somebody can help me out later on in the comment field.

So calm breathing,

Relaxed eyes,

Small smile.

Slow in-breath,

Out-breath and then visualizing your dream.

And then you're going to be putting what's in the way of you achieving that dream,

What's blocking the passage,

The path.

And then we're going to be moving that away with our intention,

With our energy,

With our strength.

And then we're going to be putting in the repetition that we need to repeat in order to achieve what it is that we want to achieve.

So that's the content of the next meditation we're going to be doing.

So let's everybody gets comfortable.

Taking a couple of deep breaths and the deep breath just to have them be natural,

Not not,

You know.

Not forcing anything,

Just a deep breath.

Small smile on your lips,

In your eyes.

Feeling your heart pound,

Your heartbeat.

Noticing your shoulders relaxing,

Just falling a bit down in the exhalation.

Really noticing that flow of air that's just so soothing on the in-breath and on the out-breath.

Just take one deep breath now.

Now visualize that dream,

That image,

It might be in a movie that you're playing with yourself.

For example,

If what you're longing for is trust,

It could be you holding somebody or if it's gratitude,

You being with somebody where you feel that.

It could be kids that you want to have or whatever,

But just see that with your inner eye,

Visualizing that and really feeling those emotions connected to that,

That dream you have.

If it's letting go of fear and feeling strong,

Just see yourself being in that power position,

Strength position.

And just take it all in,

Watching that visualization.

Now take another deep breath and put in the obstacle that is in the way of you achieving that.

So if it is strength or whatever,

And it's fear being the obstacle,

Manifest something in your visualization that represents that.

It could be somebody,

It might be their dad,

A representation or their mom or a bad experience or what you would call low self-esteem,

So forth or anything like that.

But just have that stand in the way of your dream.

So something that is the representative for whatever is standing in the way of you achieving what it is that you want to achieve.

And notice also what happens to your breathing,

Your energy.

You might notice that it's affected going below the line,

Going into maybe a victim role or maybe becoming a villain,

Becoming mad or getting paralyzed.

And again,

Just taking it easy.

We're practicing small steps.

And now again,

A deep breath.

And now with your intention,

With what it is that you need to practice in order to move that obstacle away,

Start in your visualization,

Moving it to the side.

Just pushing it with the power,

The strength,

Maybe even the tears,

Pushing that obstacle away by watching yourself within repeat again and again and again.

What it is that you need to become better at,

Stronger at,

More accepting of.

But slowly within your inner eye,

Watching yourself move away that obstacle,

Clearing the path day by day,

Hour by hour,

Week by week,

Month by month,

Year by year.

And now see yourself having with all the hard work,

With all the repetitions,

With all the tears and the blood and the sweat,

Having moved away that obstacle.

Again,

A deep breath.

And you move in towards that dream.

And this is a dream that you made possible,

Not somebody else,

But you did it because you took up the fight.

You didn't give up.

You kept on repeating.

You fell down,

But you got yourself up.

You asked for help.

You asked for support and community and they were there.

So again,

Just feel that sensation of achieving that dream.

And it might be a small one.

It might be a big one.

It doesn't matter.

The process is the same.

Repetition,

Recognizing what's in the way,

Deciding to do this,

Not give up,

Be willing to feel everything.

And slowly,

Slowly get closer.

OK,

So let's take a deep breath and get ready to move our attention outwards again.

Stretching or whatever you might need to do.

OK.

Let me see here.

Exactly.

We need to see what's in the way of us achieving what it is that we want to achieve.

And usually our own limitation has to do something with our past.

It has to do with something in regards to our experiences and our personality,

How we've developed.

So finding out what it is can be difficult.

And you might need a friend to be honest with you,

Telling you honestly,

What do you think are my issues?

It can be a hard question to ask,

But it definitely also develops trust,

Which was one of the other words.

So finding out what's in the way of what we want to achieve,

What is creating.

.

.

Because the thing is that we are the ones in.

.

.

Primarily,

It might be other issues,

Other people,

Economy and whatever.

But for the most part,

It's us standing in the way of us.

So we have convictions,

We have self images,

We have parts of ourselves that we don't want to show the world.

Because we've been learned that and have learned that there's a part of us that the world wants to see,

But there's also a part of us which the world doesn't want to see.

So we repeat what they want to see and feel shame or depressed,

Whatever they don't want to see.

But we need to work with this because it has so much strength,

So much knowledge,

So much power.

So one thing that we need to do.

This was actually given to my wife.

I'm just going to show this.

Let me know if you can read what it says.

Let that shit go.

And I love this one because part of our story has to do with us taking ourselves so serious.

It's like,

I am the center of my own life and all my pain is all about me.

But that's usually because we need that love.

Because we've had maybe a childhood where we were not seen and not met.

And I have so much loneliness and I feel so alone and all of this,

Which can lead to our depression.

But we need to realize what is it that I want to hold on to,

What is helping me get to where I want to go,

And what is not helping me to where I want to get to.

So we need to make a long list of what shit we want to let go.

So that could actually be a good exercise for you guys out there that connect to this.

Making a long list which is shit I need to let go of.

I actually was quite inspired by the next Netflix documentary with the Minimalists.

You might have seen that one.

I can definitely recommend to see it.

Their perspective are material things connected to emotional things.

But I was so inspired by what about all the shit that we're carrying.

Sorry about the word shit,

But you know what I mean.

What about all the stuff,

All the shit that we're carrying inside from our childhood or our present that we keep on repeating?

What about all that shit?

Maybe it would be a good idea to look at that and find out why am I carrying this with me?

How is this creating all the limitations for what I actually want to achieve?

So maybe actually I'm going to do it myself when I finish here.

I'm going to do that shit list,

Finding out what it is that I still need to let go of.

I mentioned yesterday that in this process I actually decided that my dream of writing a book has been there for the past eight years.

So I'm actually going to be writing a book about this stuff.

Repetition is the mother of skill.

And I actually made the cover like 12 years ago.

I'll see if I can share some way.

I don't think that I can share files here.

But I actually made the title Repetitions like 12 years ago as a book cover.

Again,

We need to sow those seeds that then with years to come will start flourishing.

Will start what you call that.

Yeah,

Flourishing.

You know what I mean.

But my main part,

My main thing with this is that there's feelings that we don't want to feel.

Because that's what's standing in the way.

I built my life up not wanting to feel failure or social rejection.

And I was on the verge of that's what created this path for me when it wasn't when I was 30 years old.

This identity crisis.

I feel that I'm connected to you guys.

And I'm going to be I'm going to be doing this.

We continue with this two more days and then I'm going to have maybe a seven day break to just think things through.

And find out what the next step will do be.

But then taking another seven days.

Will be the first day where you start looking at what is it that you can repeat in order to achieve what it is that you want to achieve.

But also like because all of us need connection.
