This is a morning motivation meditation to boost confidence.

Take a comfortable seated position where you won't be in pain or discomfort.

Arrange your hands in Ushas Mudra by simply interlacing all the fingers together and resting the backs of the hands on the thighs or lap.

The thumbs may gently touch if you like.

This hand position will energetically assist you in awakening to new possibilities for this day.

Every new dawn marks a new day with unlimited potential.

New ideas and opportunities to discover.

Unknown gifts waiting to be received if only we allow ourselves to become open to receiving them.

Settle in now with three rounds of intentional breath to arrive and become present.

Exhale and empty all your air completely.

Now inhale fully,

Expanding your abdomen,

Ribs,

And chest outward in all directions.

Purse your lips and exhale through the mouth as if blowing out a straw.

Close the mouth and inhale again.

Fill up without strain.

Exhale blowing out the lips.

Prolong the breath and slow down a little more.

Last time,

Inhale through the nose.

Exhale through the lips.

Now soften the lips,

Tongue,

And jaw.

Relax into your seat and feel your arms grow soft and heavy.

Relax your posture and feel as though you are being held in the warm embrace of the sunrise.

Place your attention in your heart center.

In this sacred space,

Feel the aliveness of your heartbeat.

Sense into its vibration.

What does it feel like to be alive today?

It's okay if the answer isn't positive.

Be honest and sense into what it's like to be alive right now,

Sitting with your beating heart.

Welcome whatever's here with compassion.

As if you could say to this emotion,

It's okay that you're here.

I see you.

I hold you with tenderness in my heart.

Now think of something that makes you smile.

It could be anything or anyone that delights you.

Whatever comes to mind,

Focus your attention gently on this and hold that image in your heart.

Perhaps turn the corners of your mouth upward for a moment.

Feel gratitude for that which makes you smile in this moment.

Breathe it in fully and as you exhale,

Sense that the boundary of your body expands,

No longer confined just to your skin.

Let the image of what makes you smile fade and go directly into the gratitude itself.

What does that feel like in your body?

Brighten it.

Lean into it.

Breathe it beyond the heart space.

Relaxing your lips and mouth and fully enlivened by gratitude,

Remember that today is unwritten.

Today is a new day.

Let that sink in for a moment.

This day doesn't have to be like all the others that came before.

You may release all expectations and tensions about how this day needs to unfold.

This day is open,

A mystery,

Ready and waiting.

Feel the power you have to live this day in the way that best serves you and all beings.

Through just being you and sharing your light,

You matter.

You belong here.

This day is waiting to see what you might do with it.

Breathe into your inherent power and feel warmth and lightness bubbling up from within your solar plexus,

The space just above the navel and below the heart.

Bring the quality of confidence into your solar plexus,

Thinking of a time when you felt sure and at ease and knew what path to take next.

Or imagine what it would feel like to be self-assured,

Completely at peace with who you are.

Allow this feeling of confidence to reside and radiate in your solar plexus just like the sunrise.

Breathe deeper,

More fully,

As if fanning the gentle flame of confidence within.

Perhaps there's a color like yellow or orange.

Whatever image and feeling of confidence you're experiencing is your unique expression,

So wonderfully you.

How beautiful it is to be you right now.

Allow these words to become your own.

I receive this day fully and joyfully as an exciting mystery of infinite possibilities.

I don't need to control everything for good things to happen to me.

I can and I will.

Filled up by the new dawn,

Intend for this feeling to come along with you throughout your whole day,

Long after this meditation ends.

Breathe in intentionally again.

Breathe out and release Usha Smudra,

Separating your palms and beginning to move and stretch your body as you like.

Open your eyes when you're ready.
