Hello and welcome.
My name is Candy Foster and I am a mindfulness meditation instructor and a Reiki Master Teacher.
I'd love to guide you through a peaceful and relaxing walk through the woods today.
This is one of my favorite ways to spend an afternoon,
But sometimes I just can't get away into it.
We can always use our imagination,
So let's do that.
Find yourself a quiet place where you won't be disturbed and get comfortable.
Find a nice straight spine and take a deep breath in through the nose and let it all go out through the nose.
Take another deep breath in and let it all go.
One more time.
Breathe deeply and release fully.
Fall into a softer,
Gentler,
More natural breath and let it just soothe the body and the mind a little more with each breath.
Just letting your mind quiet by focusing on that breath.
Close your eyes and imagine yourself in the forest.
Surrounded by lush green trees.
You're leisurely walking along a path well worn by all of the beautiful animals that live here.
Listen.
Do you hear the birds?
So many birds singing their carefree songs.
The sun streaming through the trees warms your skin.
The birds and butterflies are floating around in those streams of sunlight.
Just enjoy the sight of their carefree living.
You hear a babbling stream nearby and it sounds so peaceful.
You follow the sound which takes you off your path but you're enjoying your walk through the trees and over the occasional bog.
You pass a rock with a little orange salamander basking in the sun.
He pays you a visit.
You make your way closer to the stream and when you arrive you find a perfectly flat rock to sit on and let some time pass while you just listen.
As you sit you realize you're in the most peaceful place in your mind.
At this moment nothing else matters.
In this moment you are one with the forest.
The birds and all the animals.
Enjoy.
You are one with the forest.
It is now time to make your way back but you will return.
You will return to this place the next time you are feeling not so grounded.
It is always here for you.
You make your way back to the path which leads you back to the here and now.
Take a deep breath in and release.
Start to wiggle your fingers and toes and come fully back when you are ready.
Thank you for joining me in the forest today.
I hope you enjoyed our little stroll.
Namaste.
