One of my favorite meditations to use myself and to guide because it’s powerful both for the mind and the body. Body scan meditations are inspired by a mindfulness practice that involves a systematic and focused examination of bodily sensations. During this meditation, you gently shift your attention from one part of the body to another, and as you scan through the body, allowing stress and tension to release as you ease into relaxation. The purpose is to cultivate awareness of physical sensations, tension, or discomfort without judgment. A body scan promotes relaxation and helps you drop out of your ever-thinking mind and connect to your body.
