Welcome to today's meditation.
Today's meditation is a short body scan for you to scan through your body and release any tension or tiredness that you may be feeling.
It's a moment for you to tune in to you.
Go ahead and get comfortable and close your eyes.
Take a deep breath all the way down into your belly,
Breathing in through the nose and out through the mouth to start.
Just centering yourself here now.
Let's do a couple more like that.
Deep breath in,
Exhale,
Letting go of all of the stuff you don't need to take with you on your inward journey today.
Feeling the belly expand as you inhale and fall as you exhale.
And then when you're ready,
Allowing the breath to flow in and out of your nose throughout this practice.
Connecting deeply now to your own breath.
Really feeling the flow of your breath.
Maybe noticing how the belly is expanding as you inhale and dropping as you exhale.
Then inviting in this beautiful healing light now,
Like the sunlight,
Just hitting the top of your head and then flowing down through the body like a river of light,
All the way down to the soles of your feet.
This healing light is here for you to release any tension,
Tiredness or stress that you may have been holding in your body.
So as we scan down through the body,
If you notice any stress or tension,
Release it into this light and let it transform into light.
Starting at the top of your head,
Feeling that light smelting down through the scalp,
The ears,
The forehead,
The back of your head.
Feeling a calming sensation from the light,
As if it's bringing calmness and relaxation to your entire body.
Feeling the light all the way down through your entire face,
Throat and the neck.
Letting go of any tension that you may be holding into the light,
As if the light is just washing away,
Cleansing away any stress or tension.
Feeling that light down through your shoulders,
Releasing anything here that's been weighing you down.
Let it go.
Down through the chest,
The solar plexus and the belly,
Feeling your entire body filled with this light.
Feeling the light melting down through your spine,
Calming and relaxing every muscle here in the back.
Allowing your body to fully relax,
Allowing your mind and body to come home together here.
Feeling that light all the way down through the hips now,
The thighs,
The back of the legs.
Letting go,
Relaxing.
Thoughts just flowing in and out of your mind and you keep returning to focusing on the light flowing through the body,
Calming and relaxing your entire body.
Feeling that light now down through the knees,
The back of the knees,
The hands,
The shins,
The calf muscles,
The ankles.
Relax,
Let go.
The top of the feet and each toe now,
The heels,
Right down to the soles of your feet.
Feeling as if you are bathing in this healing light now,
Bringing calmness to your mind and to your body.
Just tuning in with how you're feeling in this moment.
How am I feeling right now?
What am I aware of?
Thanking the light for the healing and coming back as you take a deep breath in,
Sealing this practice.
Coming back to the space you're in,
Feeling grounded,
Calm and relaxed.
