Begin by finding a comfortable seated position.

Close your eyes and let's take a moment to connect with the essence of our being.

We are beings of energy and today we'll embark on a journey to recover from burnout by tapping into the profound wisdom of our breath,

Cultivating self-compassion,

And invoking healing energy.

As we explore this meditation,

Let's keep in mind the law of energy.

Energy cannot be created nor destroyed,

It only changes forms.

Burnout is a signal that the balance of energy in and the balance of energy out has been disrupted and it's time to replenish our core energy stores.

Energy flows through us,

Connecting our inner being with each other and with the vastness of the universe.

As an act of curiosity,

I invite you to ponder what in your life demands the most energy from you?

What is the cause of this suffering?

Let's take a moment to sit with this question without judgment,

Simply observation.

Notice any sensations or thoughts or emotions that arise.

Where does this suffering,

The source of energy expenditure,

Sit within your body?

Our bodies are intricate vessels of energy and they hold the stories of our experiences.

Let's breathe together.

Inhale deeply through the nose,

Allowing the breath to fill your belly,

Feel the expansion as you take in this life-giving energy.

And as you exhale,

Tenderly and gently release the weight of your suffering.

Let this suffering be carried out with your breath,

Allowing it to dissipate into the universe.

Trust the universe to take care of it for you.

Practice this breathing.

Notice the release.

Practice trusting the universe to take care of it for you.

You no longer have to carry this.

Create a spaciousness around where the suffering had lived inside of you,

Allowing it to exist as a separate entity outside the existence of our being.

Visualize the suffering with gentle detachment,

Observing it as one might witness the passing of clouds and the vast sky.

As we stand in this space of observation,

Let us affirm our ability to see this suffering without carrying it,

To acknowledge its existence while releasing its power and to let it be carried into the universe without any further attachment.

The space within us that once cradled this suffering now begins to transform.

It becomes lighter,

Hollow,

An empty space where burdens once rested.

So gently,

Very gently,

Focus your attention on this space where the suffering first made itself known to you today.

Recognize how it's changed.

This space is no longer burdened,

But holds the purity of its own existence.

As we breathe in,

Let us harness the boundless light and love of the universe.

Inhale deeply,

Drawing in the light that surrounds us,

And with each breath,

Feel this radiant energy filling the once heavy space within.

It is a light that permeates through every cell,

Every fiber of your being,

And it heals us.

As you exhale,

Release any remnants of the suffering that may linger,

And visualize the warmth of love spreading,

Dissolving any shadows that may have clung to the corners of your inner world.

You're surrounded by this loving light,

Cocooned in a space where compassion and love for yourself thrives.

Feel the warmth radiating from within,

A beacon of love that extends beyond the boundaries of your physical form.

You are a vessel of light.

You are the sanctuary for compassion.

In this state of light,

You're not alone.

You are connected to the universal embrace of love.

Take a few moments to simply sit in this radiant space,

And allow the light to settle within you,

Nurturing the seeds of self-compassion that have been planted.

As you carry this newfound warmth forward,

May it serve as a guiding light on your journey towards healing and self-love.
