Find a comfortable seat and as you find ease,

Allow your muscles to relax,

Your mind to settle and your thoughts to subside.

For the next couple of moments,

Allow yourself to be here right now.

Take a deep breath in and out.

Again in and out.

One last time in and out.

As your breathing returns to normal,

Focus on the space around you.

Wherever you are,

The sights,

Sounds,

What you can feel and even what you smell.

Instead of concern,

Disgust or dismay,

Find beauty in it all.

Items that have lost their luster,

Sounds that are annoying,

Something that is rougher around the edges than it used to be,

A smell that is no longer fresh.

Try to find new beauty in it right where you are.
