In the world we live,
There will always be uncertainty,
Chaos,
And unrest.
At times we feel it internally,
Others we witness someone else experience the same.
With this meditation,
Take the opportunity to wish peace for yourself,
Someone close to you,
And then the greater community,
Because although you might not personally be experiencing it,
When one hurts,
We all hurt,
Some way or another.
Find comfort in your seat or as you lay down,
Close your eyes and envision quiet,
Calm,
And ease,
Whatever that looks like for you.
Take a few breaths on your own pace,
Breathing in your nose and out of your mouth,
Focusing on your breath.
Now consider yourself when you say the following out loud or in your head.
May I have peace.
May I have joy.
May I be at ease.
Breathe and repeat.
May I have peace.
May I have joy.
May I be at ease.
Consider someone you care for,
A family member,
A friend,
And repeat.
May you have peace.
May you have joy.
May you be at ease.
Breathe in and let it out.
Repeat again.

Consider a community,
One you are a member of,
Or the one that you want to pass this on to.
