Begin your day with gratitude.
Watch how it elevates your mood.
Start by stretching your body.
Let your fingers find movement.
Roll your neck from side to side if you are able.
Straighten your back.
Whether you are still in the bed,
In the mirror in the bathroom,
Or seated in stillness,
Lift your chin up and close your eyes.
Take a deep cleansing breath.
One that starts in your nose,
Fills your lungs to capacity,
And is released through your mouth.
Take a few more of those same cleansing breaths.
As you find stillness again,
While your breath returns back to its normal cadence,
Recite these blessings with me.
Dear Heavenly Father,
I'm thankful for the breath,
For the movement in my body,
For you protecting me through the night,
And waking me this morning.
I'm thankful for the day ahead,
And all the doors you are opening for me.
And for those you'll strut because you are wise,
I thank you for the kind people I will encounter,
Those who will be a light upon my path,
And for those who need my light to continue,
I thank you for these blessings.
For the next moment,
Reflect on all God is to you.
In your head,

Thank you God,
