Once upon a time there was a unicorn called Molly and Molly loved to fly.
What was very special about Molly was that she would fly in her very own magical air balloon,
Which was powered by her very own magical unicorn breath.
When Molly blew out,
Her magical unicorn breath was like a mini galaxy filled with thousands of glittering tiny stars.
Beautiful rainbow colours swirled,
Whirled and shimmered together.
You could hear the soft tinkle of tiny bells and it had the sweetest smell of candy floss and red cherries.
When Molly wanted the balloon to fly higher,
She would take in a big breath and as she gently exhaled,
Her magical,
Sparkly,
Glittery unicorn breath would swirl,
Whirl and with a shimmer fill the air balloon.
The balloon would gently float up into the wispy,
Calm clouds.
One of Molly's favourite games was to get out her net and go cloud fishing.
She'd try and scoop the clouds up as she floated by and sometimes if she caught a cloud,
She would rub it on her nose.
It felt so soft and silky.
When Molly wanted to lower her balloon,
Again she would take in a big breath and this time suck some of the air out of the balloon.
Then as she gently exhaled,
Her magical,
Sparkly,
Glittery unicorn breath would swirl,
Whirl and with a shimmer turn into a rainbow.
When the balloon was low enough,
Molly would slide down the rainbow and explore whatever new place she had travelled to.
Each new land was always filled with adventures and new surprises.
Although Molly was always very excited to slide down the rainbow,
She still sometimes felt a bit scared.
This was when she would use the magic of her unicorn horn.
She would breathe into the tip of her horn,
Then breathe out and think,
I believe in me.
Then whoosh,
Like magic,
She'd feel the courage inside to slide down the rainbow.
Molly knew that being brave meant believing in yourself and doing something even if you felt a little bit scared too.
After all of Molly's exploring and adventures,
She liked to rest in the cosy wicker basket of her balloon.
She'd curl up inside and as the basket gently swayed in the breeze,
It always made Molly feel calm and relaxed.
Now it's your turn to relax.
If you feel comfortable,
You can close your eyes.
Then imagine that you are sat inside the air balloon basket.
As you slowly float along,
You curl up and get cosy.
You take a big slow calming breath in and out.
You look out from the basket and see the clouds drift past.
You notice all the different shapes of the clouds.
Spend a moment watching the different shaped clouds drifting by,
Knowing that you are safe and cosy in your basket.
Think,
I am safe.
I am calm.
Now,
When you are ready,
Wiggle your fingers,
Wiggle your toes and open your eyes.
Stretch your arms up high and then slowly relax them onto your lap.
