Welcome to this guided meditation on returning to your center,
This unshakable trust that exists within you.
Limit distractions by closing the door,
Using headphones,
Silencing your phone.
Dimming the lights.
Or finding a cozy blanket or pillow.
And take this time to decide if you'd like to practice in a seated position or lying down.
And now that all is in place,
Make any last movements or adjustments and start to invite in stillness.
Give yourself a few moments to make any adjustments as you settle in.
And as you come to a place of stillness in your body,
Acknowledge your to-do lists and any plans you have or have had for the day.
And as best you can,
Give yourself permission to set them aside.
For the next few minutes.
Taking a moment now to remember the calm that resides within the chaos.
That soothing,
Quiet place that exists beneath the noise,
The distractions,
And the busyness of life.
Life as we know it unfolds in many ways.
Some moments feel light and others feel heavy.
Some moments bring joy.
And others bring pain.
Both are integral parts of the rich tapestry of being human.
And yet,
It's important to remember that we don't have to bear these experiences alone.
It's okay to want comfort and it's okay to seek peace.
But life has both light and shadow.
And our path involves learning how to find our center amidst it all.
From this seed of awareness,
We can meet all of life with compassion for what comes.
So today,
Let's take a journey inward,
Gently orienting ourselves towards that center the calm and steady place that resides within each of us.
It's always there,
Even if we forgot.
And bringing your attention to your body,
Just allowing yourself to settle.
At least 1% more.
Feel your spine lengthen.
And your body softened.
Gently sinking into the support beneath you.
As if you're being supported by the earth itself,
Feeling grounded and connected.
You might choose to bring your awareness to your breath,
The rhythm of your existence.
Notice how it flows in and out without needing to control or change anything.
Feel the gentle rise and fall of your abdomen,
Like steady waves coming on to shore.
Breathing in,
Aware of your end breath.
Breathing out aware of your out-breath Allow your breath to serve as an anchor,
Gently grounding you here in this present moment.
Now take a deep breath in through your nose filling your lungs fully holding it for just a moment and then exhale through your mouth,
Releasing any tension in your body.
Let's do that again,
Breathing in deep and full,
Holding it for just a moment.
And then releasing it slowly,
Letting go of any weight,
Any distractions.
With each breath,
Allow yourself to become more present with this moment,
Bringing your attention inward.
And as you continue to breathe,
Notice the gentle rhythm of your breath.
The rise and fall of your chest and belly.
Feel the connection between your breath and your body.
The way your body naturally settles with each exhale.
And shifting your awareness to your feet.
Feel the contact of your feet with the surface beneath you.
Notice the sensations in your toes.
The soles of your feet,
Your ankles.
Simply breathe into this area,
Letting go of any tension.
And then allow that awareness to travel up your body.
Let your calves and knees soften.
Relaxing your thighs,
Your hips.
With every breath,
Imagine releasing tension in each area.
Softening,
Allowing yourself to sink deeper into this moment.
Moving your awareness up to your belly and your chest.
With each inhale,
Feel your body expand.
And with each exhale,
Feel a gentle release,
A softening of any areas of tension or holding.
Relaxing your shoulders.
Feeling the warmth of relaxation spread down your arms,
Through your hands,
And into your fingers.
Let go of any holding here,
Any tension or stiffness.
And bring your awareness to your neck.
Your jaw.
Your face.
Let your jaw soften.
Allowing any lingering tension to melt away.
Feel your face become relaxed,
The muscles around your eyes,
Your cheeks,
Your forehead letting go and softening.
And bring your attention to your mind.
It's allowing it to slow down.
Thoughts may come and go throughout this practice.
And we will just let them float by as you simply rest in the peace of this moment.
Sometimes life feels disorienting.
When we're swept up in the currents of emotions or thoughts,
It's easy to get lost in fear,
Anger,
Or doubt.
And we forget the calm that is always waiting for us.
And right now,
We have the chance to come back to ourselves.
To reconnect with that wisdom that resides within us.
A deep inner knowing that we are whole and capable.
And we don't have to force this reconnection.
Just being here in this moment is enough.
In this stillness,
We begin to hear the quiet voice of our inner wisdom.
Guiding us,
Calling us to return to our center.
And this is the first step and it's a courageous one.
So thank yourself for being here,
For making space to listen to what you need.
You don't need to force yourself to stay calm.
Push away difficult emotions Instead we gently remind ourselves that we can allow the ebb and flow of life to move through us.
You can meet each moment with a sense of openness and resilience.
And when challenge arises,
You can always return to your center.
You are always supported,
Always grounded in this calm,
Centered place within you.
Within you lies an incredible reservoir of strength.
An unshakable core.
A sanctuary of quiet where you can rest and restore.
The inner space holds the wisdom of your body and it's always been there.
Even when you couldn't feel it.
And now you're giving yourself permission to remember.
Placing your hands over your heart,
Know that you are the answer and you hold the truth within you.
Somewhere in you is a place that can withstand all the storms.
A space that loves all of your experiences,
Joy and pain alike.
You don't need to search for answers outside of yourself.
You already know what it means to stand grounded.
Study.
So in this moment,
Let go of doubt.
Let go of the struggle.
Let go of the noise.
And simply remember what you've always known.
That you are strong.
You are loved.
You are calm.
You are wise and you are enough with each in-breath you return.
And with each out breath you release what no longer serves you.
You are reminding yourself of your resilience.
Of your ability to be whole even when life feels overwhelming.
This is your practice,
Your process.
Just like tending a garden,
You nurture and grow the parts of yourself that know peace.
That know love.
And as you do this,
You find your way back.
Again and again to your center.
So when you're ready,
Slowly begin to bring your awareness back to the room.
And when you open your eyes,
Be gentle with yourself.
Carrying this sense of calm with you throughout the day.
Noticing the moments when you feel lost or disoriented.
And then gently guide yourself back to your breath.
Back to your body,
Back to your center.
Remember this practice is a process.
And it's not about perfection.
But about returning to yourself over and over with kindness and patience.
Thank you for devoting yourself this time.
May you move forward with gentleness,
Self-compassion,
And commitment to nurturing your inner peace.
Take care of yourself today and know that you are supported.
