Breathe.
Be in this practice by bringing awareness to your breath,
Noticing the natural rhythm of the rise and fall of your chest,
Noticing how deep or shallow your breath is in this moment.
Wherever you begin this meditation,
That's okay.
There's no need to fix or rush anything.
No need to change anything.
You're just taking the time to be with your breath.
Beautiful.
And as you tune into the cycles of your breathing,
There may be thoughts arising about life's needs outside of this container.
Maybe the places you need to go,
The things you need to do,
The responsibilities you need to tend to.
And that's okay too.
But perhaps you might imagine that as you are here breathing,
There is a boundary,
A separation around you.
Reminding you that you can engage with those asks,
Those roles,
Those responsibilities after this meditation.
What if you could just be here,
Breathing,
Resting,
And just being,
And everything else can have its time later in a few moments?
How might that feel to give yourself permission to just be?
There you go.
And as this practice begins to come to a close,
Take a deep nourishing breath in through your nose and gently exhale out through your mouth,
Sending oxygen down,
Down,
Down into your entire body.
Breathing in deeply through the nose and exhaling softly and slowly out through the mouth.
There you go.
Once more,
Breathing in through the nose and exhaling out through the mouth.
Placing your hand on your heart and whispering the words,
Thank you to yourself for being here and being with your breath.
My name is Brittany Pollard and I thank you for taking this journey with me.
You may use this meditation as often as you need to come back to your breath,
To come back to your center,
And to create some time to nourish yourself.
Ashe.
