Welcome to your Yoganitra practice,

Returning home.

My name is Brittany Lin and this is a practice to embody your own journey of beautifully awakening.

Please prepare yourself for your practice by laying down on your back,

With your arms down along your sides,

Hands relaxed,

Using any props or blankets that help you get comfortable,

Maybe covering your eyes.

Allow yourself to sink into a relaxing position and if you ever need to shift during the practice,

Please do so slowly and easily.

During this practice,

All you need to do is remain consciously aware of my voice.

There's no need to overthink anything.

And if your mind wanders away or you start to drift off to sleep,

See if you can bring your awareness back to hearing the sound of my voice and simply feeling into the practice.

If you get distracted by something you hear or think,

Gently guide yourself back to this moment.

Observe everything that makes its way into this moment without judgment.

There's no right or wrong,

Good or bad.

Allow things to be as they are.

And know that you are safe and well-nourished.

Once your body has settled in,

Begin to notice how you feel today.

How you feel in your body.

What you feel in your mind.

And how your breath feels.

Begin to observe your breath without judging it.

What does it naturally feel like today?

Just notice.

How do you feel your breath the most?

Maybe in your belly or chest.

Maybe in the back of your throat or nose.

Just pay attention.

And see if you can start to deepen your breath into this space.

Adding a little more time onto your inhales and exhales.

As you prepare for your journey home to yourself.

Take a deep breath in.

And a deep breath out.

Another deep breath in through the nose.

And as you exhale out the mouth,

Invite any tension or stress to release.

One more deep breath in.

And when you exhale,

Witness as your body softens into this moment further.

Let your breath return to its natural pace as you allow your body to be breathed.

Notice the breath now without changing anything.

It's time to let yourself settle in as we now begin the practice of yoga nidra.

Let your entire body to soften.

Give yourself permission to be held by the earth below you.

You are here right now.

Start to become aware of what your body feels like in this moment.

From the top of your head to the tips of your toes.

And surrender.

Surrender into a space of deep relaxation.

Allow every muscle,

Every joint,

Every cell of your being to release.

It's time to let yourself rest.

Fully rest.

Not just your physical body,

But every aspect of your being.

Every facet of your spirit.

Continue to sink your awareness into this present moment.

You are aware.

You are awake.

And you are practicing yoga nidra.

As you allow your body to be breathed,

Rest your physical body into more softness and comfort.

Imagine that in the center of your chest,

Your heart space,

There's the soft ball of light.

Notice this light.

Does it have a color?

See the soft edges of this light,

This energetic calm.

Witness it grow as you breathe in and soften as you breathe out.

Just watch this soft energy within.

Ebbing and flowing with your breath.

Filling your entire being with light and softening over your body like a blanket of comfort and ease.

This light is your home.

Surrender into this space of your heart.

Begin to infuse an elevated emotion of love,

Joy,

Or gratitude through the heart.

And let this light of home within you gently shine.

As you witness this glowing,

Calming energy within,

Let your curiosity sink into this light.

Inside this light is your intention.

What does your heart truly desire?

From this light arises your desire right now.

Let this be an I am statement.

For instance,

I am at peace.

I am healed.

Or I am home.

Repeat your intentions softly to yourself in your mind.

Allow your intention to echo through you.

Let the gentle repetition softly circulate through your body.

And have the courage to allow your heart's light to circulate your intention throughout the physical and energetic layers of your being.

Repeat this intention one more time,

Releasing it into the light of your heart's natural energy of nourishment,

Allowing it to calmly and effortlessly wash over you.

We now begin the rotation of consciousness by taking a journey through the entire body,

Following this beautiful light within.

As you track your awareness in your body,

Let your focus and light move fluidly from one place to the next,

Bathing your awareness in the beauty of curiosity for each point in the body and allowing yourself to move on to the next place without holding on tightly to the last.

Consciousness as the soft light moves from the space of your heart and rests in your right hand.

Watch as it softly moves to your right hand thumb,

Your index finger,

Middle finger,

Ring finger,

Pinky finger,

Palm of your right hand,

Back of your right hand,

Wrist,

Forearm,

Elbow,

Upper arm,

Right shoulder,

Your right armpit,

Your right side body and right hip,

Your right thigh,

Kneecap,

Lower leg,

Right ankle,

Heel,

Sole of the right foot,

Top of your right foot,

Big toe,

Second toe,

Third toe,

Fourth toe and little toe.

Watch as this light drips to your left hand and lights up your left hand thumb,

Index finger,

Middle finger,

Ring finger,

Pinky finger,

Palm of your left hand,

Back of your left hand,

Wrist,

Forearm,

Elbow,

Upper arm,

Left shoulder,

Your left armpit.

Watch this light light up the left side body and left hip,

The left thigh,

Kneecap,

Lower leg,

Left ankle,

Heel,

Sole of the left foot,

Top of the left foot,

Big toe,

Second toe,

Third toe,

Fourth toe and little toe.

Now watch as this light journeys to the backside of your body.

Witness this energy light up each space as you are held and nourished.

Become aware of the right shoulder blade,

The left shoulder blade,

The right glutes,

The left glutes,

The spine,

The whole back together.

Now observe as this light flows to the top of the head,

The top of the head,

Down to the forehead,

Melting down both sides of the head,

The right eyebrow,

The left eyebrow,

The space between the eyebrows,

The right eyelid,

The left eyelid,

The right eye,

The left eye,

Lighting up the right ear and the left ear,

The right cheek,

The left cheek,

The nose,

The tip of the nose,

The upper lip,

The lower lip,

The chin,

Lighting up the throat,

The right chest,

The left chest,

The middle of the chest,

The navel,

The abdomen,

And watch this calming light infuse each space of your body with love,

Peace,

A sense of safety,

Feeling home.

This energy lights up the entire right leg,

The entire left leg,

Both legs together,

The entire right arm,

The entire left arm,

Both arms together,

The entire back,

Shoulder blades,

Spine,

Glutes,

The entire front body,

Abdomen,

Chest,

The entire back and front of the body together,

The whole head,

The whole body,

The whole body together.

The whole body is lit up with this gentle healing light.

Keep your awareness on the sound of my voice.

You are here.

Feel awareness.

Feel your whole body laying down,

Bathing in this light.

Watch this light infusing every corner of your body with relaxation.

Watch as this light softly moves with your breath.

Continue to follow your breath.

Just witness your natural flow of breath without effort.

Continue to maintain complete awareness of your breath,

Of the light that so gently nurtures your healing.

Follow the inhale as it expands beyond the boundaries of your physical body and watch as the exhale gently falls back into your heart,

Back home.

Watch your breath.

Begin to count backwards with each breath starting from 27.

If you lose track,

Begin again at 27.

If you reach zero,

Slowly start again at 27.

It doesn't matter if you get to zero.

Just count backwards,

Inhaling and exhaling,

27.

Inhaling and exhaling,

26.

Continue to count back as you breathe.

Continue to inhale and exhale,

27.

If you reach zero,

Slowly start again at 27.

If you reach zero,

Slowly start again at 27.

Continue to inhale and exhale,

27.

Become increasingly aware of the space within you and around you.

The space between your temples.

The space between your brows.

The place between your ears where your inner space of consciousness rests.

The space between you and everything else.

This place of expansion.

Be aware of the space.

Be aware of the space between wakefulness and deep rest.

With your body getting heavy and your spirit getting light,

Rest deeper into a conscious sleep with your awareness here.

See the gentle pulsing of light within.

The light that carries what you seek.

This light that is home.

Knowing that what you seek is always within.

Being.

Imagining.

Awareness.

Shifting awareness to feeling.

Letting go of stories.

What do we feel?

What does it feel like to feel small?

Tiny.

What does smallness feel like?

Now release this feeling of being small.

How does it feel to be expansive?

How does the energy of your energy extend beyond the boundaries of your physical body?

Radiating out.

What does expansiveness feel like?

Now let both small and expansive release as you return to the soft light within your heart.

Your whole self.

Home.

Breathing.

Now what does it feel like to be fearful?

When you feel what fear feels like.

What arises when you feel fear?

And now release that feeling of fear.

Let it dissolve away.

And what about courageousness?

How does it feel to be courageous?

To be brave.

To know you are safe.

Allow both feelings to dissolve within the space around you.

Feel the ether as you return to the soft light within your heart.

Your whole self.

Home.

Breathing.

Feel wholeness.

Your healed,

Nourished,

Peaceful,

Whole self.

You are here in this space with your whole self.

Now allow yourself to imagine or feel these images.

A puppy rolling in the mud.

A starry night on a new moon.

The smell of homemade chocolate chip cookies.

A snowy mountain peak.

A red ball.

A shiny red ball.

A red ball.

The afternoon sun on the ocean.

The steam from a warm cup of coffee.

A giraffe laying on its side.

A house.

A golden ray of light.

Imagine now you are walking on a hilltop.

A grassy hilltop with cotton candy,

Pink clouds in the sky.

Fireflies dancing in the warm breeze.

White flowers in the grass.

One large oak tree with a beautiful door.

As you walk to this tree,

You place your hand in your pocket and pull out a key.

This is the key to the door and to the inner space of your being.

You step up to the door and turn the key and the lock and this door effortlessly opens.

When you arrive inside this tree,

Streams of golden light pour through windows.

The air is light,

Magical,

Sparkling.

This is a safe and warm place.

There are shelves in this space and on these shelves are glass jars.

Big jars,

Little jars,

All shapes and sizes and colors.

Sparkling in the soft glow of the room.

These jars contain hope and love and dreams.

They contain gratitude and joy and peace.

You walk over to a shelf and pick up your favorite jar.

The one that calls to you.

As you look inside this glass jar,

You see the stars,

The universe,

Everything you could ever need.

You feel warm.

You feel at home.

You open the top of this jar and the magical air within it floats up and dances around your body.

You feel light and protected.

You feel free and at ease.

This warmth gives you the sense of knowing that you have been home all along.

Your watch of this magic takes one more swirl around you and then rests in the space of your heart,

Filling your heart with light and bliss.

You expand into spacious awareness.

You are one with this magic and this magic is one with you.

Healed,

Comforted,

Peaceful.

Effortless breath.

Flawless awareness.

Effortless magic.

Your awareness rests in this magical glow in the center of your heart.

You feel completely at ease.

You feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude.

Your entire self is excited for the joy you will experience,

For knowing that you are loved.

That you will always be at home within your heart.

And from your heart,

Your light shines.

And as this light radiates,

It begins to open and from within your heart,

Your intention emerges.

Repeat your intention three times.

Feel it in this moment.

Know it is already true.

Feel in love with the feeling in this moment.

You have returned to the light within yourself.

You have returned home.

Know that as you return back to your physical body,

This inner truth stays with you.

You are always connected to the whole without interruption.

Take your intention with you as you move from your inner self back to the outer world.

And take your gifts with you to share with others.

Begin to bring awareness back to your hands.

Start to rub your thumb along the pad of each finger as you begin to land back here in this time.

Be gentle and move slowly.

Let this awareness travel down to your feet as you give your toes a slow wiggle.

And when it calls to you,

Stretch your body from your hands to your feet.

Allow your eyes to remain closed as you roll over onto the right side of your body,

Landing back into your breath,

Back into this moment.

Just hold yourself here for a moment.

Move yourself here.

Savor this feeling.

Your practice of Yoga Nidra is now complete.

In your own time,

Lift yourself slowly up to a seat with your eyes closed.

Allow yourself to soften into your heart.

And one more time,

Welcome your intention in as you allow it to land on your heart,

Making an impression upon your heart space so you may carry it with you in the space of home within.

Bring your palms to meet in front of your heart.

And if you're ready to allow yourself,

To allow your truest version of yourself to emerge forth,

Allow a gentle smile to fall upon your face.

Keep your intention in the space of your heart,

Your inner home.
