Welcome to your practice.
My name is Brittany Lynn and this is a practice to embody your own journey of beautifully awakening.
Sit in a comfy position and gently close your eyes.
Take a moment to check in and just notice how you feel today.
How you feel in your mind,
How you feel in your emotions,
How you feel in your body.
There's no right or wrong.
Just observe.
And as you settle in a bit more,
Begin to feel all of the places where your body makes contact with your seat.
Feel the support of the earth below you.
Invite any obvious tensions to soften.
There's no need to force anything.
Just give any gripping or holding in the body an invitation to release.
And say to yourself in your mind,
I am here.
And here in this moment,
Begin to notice your breathing.
Start to deepen your inhales and lengthen your exhales.
And rest your attention in the center of your chest as you breathe.
And imagine a soft light in that space.
With every inhale,
Imagine the light grows.
And with every exhale,
Imagine the light softening,
Inviting your body further into ease.
Sit here and just be with this growing and softening light as you breathe.
If your mind wanders,
No problem.
That's normal.
Just bring it back to this light when you notice.
If it helps to keep your mind present,
You might gently repeat,
I am here.
I am here.
I am here.
As you watch the light.
And continue like this on your own until you hear my voice again.
I am here.
I am here.
I am here.
Begin to release the image of this light into the background.
Just take a moment to sit without the technique and notice how you feel.
Without expectations,
Without judgment,
Just notice.
Take a deep breath in and a long exhale out.
And just know that anxiety stems from living outside of this time,
Of ruminating on things in the past,
Or worrying or planning for the future.
So,
If you start to notice these things bubble up,
Take a moment,
Breathe deeply into that light in your chest and remind yourself that you are here.
When you feel ready,
I invite you to blink your eyes open and come back into your day.
Thank you so much for your presence today.
