This guided visualization is for the purpose of relaxation and meditation.

Please get into a comfortable position either seated or lying down.

When you're comfortable please close your eyes.

Turning your palms in an upright position I'd like for you to become mindful of your breath.

Are you taking nice deep long breaths or are they short and shallow?

You don't need to do anything differently you're only checking in and becoming aware.

Take a moment and promise yourself that you will be present in this time and space allowing any worries or thoughts to just float by.

You're granting yourself permission to be.

Taking a nice deep breath through your nose exhaling out your mouth.

With this next breath allow the tension from today to come out through your exhale.

One more nice deep breath and a really long exhale.

Imagine that you're taking off your shoes and you're getting ready to step through a large wooden door.

The room that you are in is dark there's light streaming in through the cracks.

The door in front of you has lots of engravings on it and the handle is a cool metal.

When you go to open the door leave your worries and your shoes behind.

As you step through the door you are now entering your sacred space.

Imagine that the floor is a beautiful carpet of moss.

It's cool and slightly damp and spongy beneath your feet.

The trees are very old and tall with a beautiful light green moss hanging from them.

Some trees have white lichen climbing up the base.

In the distance there's the sound of birds.

The breeze is gentle.

The air is warm and in this space you are free to roam.

Adding in any of the details that bring you most comfort and peace.

As you continue to walk along the path noticing the toadstool mushrooms,

The occasional chirp of a frog,

Feeling the sensations that are running through your body as you're connecting to this environment.

Your breath is slowing.

Your pace is slow.

Your gaze is gentle just taking in everything that is around you.

When you are ready to have a seat,

Find a nice location for yourself.

Something that is comfortable and really holds you,

Holds your body.

This space may remind you of a place you've been before or a place that you dream one day of visiting.

Know that this will always be your sacred space and you can come here whenever you like.

The powers of this space are healing,

Grounding and protective.

Keeping you in the warmth and the delicate nature of this environment.

Washing away any tensions,

Any worries.

Your thoughts can roam and be free to play.

This space will always be yours as an oasis.

Once you're settled in your seated position,

Just allow yourself the time to be still.

Listening to your breath,

Watching your thoughts float by,

Feeling the earth beneath you,

The trees around you,

The sounds that pass by.

There's nothing you need to do here.

Just be present with yourself and your natural surroundings.

When you are ready,

You may open your eyes.
