I'm Brian Lowell French,

Here to share a Mindful Minute with you.

This is a short mindfulness practice designed to do while you are working to create some calm and focus.

This Picturing Strengths Mindful Minute is done by picturing one of your core strengths and envisioning how it will help in a situation.

When in the middle of a stressful situation,

Pause and take a step back to create some mental space from it.

Consider a core strength that you find yourself regularly using in stressful situations and envision how it can help to address this current situation.

This help may be to work to directly fix the situation or to protect yourself and others from the negative effects of the situation.

Quickly picture how you can have the intention to utilize the strength and then choose whether to take the step to do so.

This increases your sense of agency and resiliency as you discover more ways to address stressful situations.

You can do this simple mindfulness practice anytime in any situation where you need to realize your strength.
