Here to share a mindful minute with you.
This mindful minute is done by simply counting the lengths of three long inhalations and exhalations to create a minute of calm.
Focusing on the breath is a fundamental concept within mindfulness practice,
And counting the two parts of the breath as they occur increases the focus to help take the mind off of the mental stress of the day,
Leading to a greater sense of calm.
As you breathe in,
In your mind,
Count up from one until the inhalation is completed.
And then as you breathe out,
Count up from one until the exhalation is completed,
As you focus both on the breath and the counting.
Let's do this together.
As you complete your three breaths,
Consider the change in the body and the relaxation that occurred,
And also consider the change in the mind and the level of calm created.
This simple practice is always available at any time throughout your day when you may be feeling stress or tension,
So utilize it whenever you think it could help.
