Welcome.

Today we will focus on self-love.

Let's find a comfortable position.

Find a comfortable seat or perhaps lie down if you have the space.

Take a few moments to settle in,

Relaxing the body as you set an intention to come home to yourself today,

To cultivate love within yourself today.

Once you find your position,

Close your eyes.

Begin to focus on your breath.

Place your attention on the inhale and the exhale.

As you breathe with awareness,

With your attention on the breath,

Know that where we place our attention,

This is the beginning of love,

Cultivating love.

What we think about,

What we talk about,

What we honor or revere with our thoughts and our time and our energy,

This is the beginning of love.

To love something is to pay attention to something.

To love someone is to pay attention to that person.

Attention is the beginning of love.

Breathing with awareness,

Paying attention to your breath,

This is the beginning of love.

Let's take an inhale together and exhale.

Again,

Inhale,

Paying attention to the breath and exhale.

Letting the breath go.

Sending our attention and our love to the breath.

One last time,

Deep inhale and exhale.

Let it go.

With your awareness,

Feel the area around the heart,

The chest,

The lungs.

Feel this area illuminated by the energy of love.

Notice how you place your attention here and there's a different type of feeling now in the chest,

In the lungs.

Where we place our attention,

There is our love.

Now let's bring awareness to our feet.

With attention at the feet,

Perhaps wiggle your toes or circle your ankles.

Keep breathing awareness and keep paying attention to your feet.

Think of all the amazing things your feet allow you to do.

Our feet hold us up,

Allow us to stand and walk and climb stairs.

Thinking about the feet and the things our feet allow us to do,

We're sending love into our feet.

Thoughts of love and gratitude.

With awareness at the feet,

Take an inhale and exhale.

Send a smile of love to your feet.

Thank them for all the things they allow you to do each day.

Now bring awareness into the legs,

Your legs,

Your shins,

Knees,

Thighs,

All the bones and muscles.

Sending attention into the legs.

Sending love,

Our love,

Into our legs.

Loving thoughts because the legs allow us to do yoga and ride a bicycle and kick our legs when we're swimming.

The legs allow us to dance.

Dancing allows us to feel love and share love when we dance with others.

With awareness at the legs,

With love in the legs,

Take an inhale and exhale.

Let it go.

Release awareness.

Release your attention from your legs.

Now place your attention in your hands.

Maybe wiggle your fingers,

Circle your wrists.

With your attention,

Think about all the things the hands allow you to do.

Most likely you brushed your teeth today.

To play this recording,

You probably used your fingers to press a button,

To hold a phone,

To use a computer.

We send love into our hands because they allow us to eat,

To hold the people we love,

To hold a book and read.

Take a moment,

Think of something you did today with your hands,

Something you're proud of,

Something that nourished you,

And send love into your hands.

Send gratitude into your hands for the role they play in your life.

With awareness,

With attention,

With love in the hands,

Take an inhale and exhale.

Release the breath.

Bring your attention into your arms,

Your forearms,

Elbows,

Bicep,

Tricep,

Shoulders.

With attention in your arms,

Think about the last person you may have hugged,

The last time you played a sport.

Your arms allow you to carry groceries and do all kinds of fun things in nature,

Like climb trees,

Gardening,

Playing in the snow.

With attention and love in the arms,

Self-love,

Cultivating self-love within the arms,

Your arms,

Take an inhale and exhale.

Release the breath,

Let it go.

Bringing attention into your belly,

Bring attention to your internal organs,

Which allow you to function,

To live,

To survive.

Bring your attention inside the body,

Your body.

And remember,

All of these organs work together.

They do their best each day to keep you healthy and alive.

Certainly,

We can love something that tries to keep us healthy and alive.

Send love into your heart.

Send love into your lungs.

Feel this love radiating within your torso,

Your chest,

Your belly.

Perhaps imagine a golden light illuminating the body from within,

The light of love.

With awareness on this light inside the body,

Love for all of the organs that allow us to stay alive.

Take an inhale and exhale.

Let the breath go.

Bring awareness to your eyes,

Nose,

Ears,

Mouth,

The skin.

Love for our sense organs.

The eyes allow us to see so many different things,

So many colors,

People,

Animals,

Nature.

The ears allow us to hear so many different types of sounds,

Beautiful sounds,

Music,

Children laughing,

Rivers flowing,

Wind in the trees.

The nose helps us to breathe and to smell so many wonderful things.

Fresh baked bread,

Fresh cut grass,

A stick of incense.

The mouth allows us to taste foods which nourish the body.

The mouth allows us to breathe and sing and chant our favorite mantras.

With the mouth you can kiss the people you love.

And the skin allows us to feel warmth or cold,

Safety and security or danger.

Skin protects the body,

Houses the body,

Wraps the entire body in a loving way.

With attention on all the sense organs and what they allow us to do and feel and experience,

Let's send them some love today.

Take an inhale and exhale.

For the next few moments,

Relax.

Relax the mind,

The heart,

The body.

We've cultivated love within the entire body.

The body is filled with love,

Your love.

Keep that love.

Feel that love,

That self-love.

Keep breathing with awareness and continue to deepen your awareness of self-love,

Love from within.

Begin to bring awareness back to the feet.

Wake up the feet.

Bring awareness,

Attention into the legs.

Bring attention into the hands,

The arms.

Bring your attention inside the body.

And bring your loving attention to your senses.

Bring attention to the breath one last time.

Let's inhale together.

And exhale with attention.

You notice the breath.

Leave the body.

Gently blink your eyes open.

Remember love is all around us,

But most importantly,

It's always within us.

Sometimes we find ourselves looking outside of ourselves for love.

We're looking for validation or we're seeking love in places where we're not receiving it back,

We're not getting what we're looking for.

Remember this practice of self-love.

Everything you need is inside of you.

You are love.

Where you place your attention,

You can find love.

So remember you can bring your attention home to yourself,

To your mind,

Your heart,

Your body,

Your soul,

Your spirit.

You can find love within yourself,

An authentic,

True love.

Thank you for practicing today.

Please share this with others.

Share your love with others.

Have a beautiful day.
