Transcript

Begin by settling into a comfortable position.

In a seated position I want you to begin to relax.

Close your eyes and relax your posture,

Not sitting too upright or too slouched.

Allow your shoulders to drop and begin to notice your breath.

Begin by just observing,

Becoming aware,

Really aware of what is going on with you right now.

Your physicality,

Any sensations,

Your emotions and your headspace.

Whatever is here is already here.

We might as well accept it.

Pay particular attention to what's going through your mind.

What are you saying to yourself?

What is the quality of your mind right now?

Is it calm?

Agitated?

Is it racing with thoughts?

Is it empty or cloudy?

Now bring your awareness to your breathing.

The movements of the abdomen,

The rise and fall of the breath as it flows naturally moment by moment,

Breath by breath.

Focus on this breath a little while longer,

Not trying to alter it in any way,

Just focusing on the natural rhythm of your breath.

Now allow your awareness to expand around the breath to the body as a whole.

Sitting here,

Breathing with a more spacious,

Expanded awareness.

Holding your entire body with a sense of acceptance and gentleness.

Now I'm going to invite you to imagine in your mind's eye what would your future look like where all of the problems you've been struggling with have vanished.

The stress,

Chaos and suffering is no longer holding you back.

It is as though a heavy weight has been lifted off your shoulders and you feel lighter and you feel free.

How would you know that you were no longer letting painful thoughts and feelings and harmful habits control your life?

It is time to intensify your imagination and begin to envision the life of your dreams.

What would you be doing differently?

How would you feel differently?

What emotion would you be feeling?

Would it be joy?

Would you feel fulfilled?

Looking around at your surroundings,

What can you see?

Is there anyone else in your image?

What are your relationships like with these people?

Focus on the emotion that they make you feel.

What else is in your image?

And what else would contribute to your dream life?

Stay in this place a little while longer.

Noticing how you feel in your mind and in your body and in your heart.

Allowing yourself to be fully engaged in your dream life.

Returning your awareness to the breath.

Take a deep breath all the way in and exhale as slowly as possible on the way out.

Breathing all the way in and exhaling slowly.

It is now time to wriggle your fingers,

Wriggle your toes,

Roll your head from side to side and when you are ready return your awareness to the present.
