This meditation will assist you in de-stressing from your workday.
Find a comfortable position either lying down or seated.
Close your eyes and begin to release the tension in your body.
Wriggle your toes,
Shake your arms,
Drop your shoulders and settle into this moment.
Begin by taking deep breaths.
Feeling your stomach and abdomen expand and deflate with each cycle of breath.
Noticing how your body relaxes with each breath that you take.
Just continuing to focus on your breathing.
Take this moment for you.
Today has been a busy day at work.
You were likely to have been focusing on others,
Focusing on deadlines you had to meet or emails you had to send or on workplace politics.
You may be mentally or physically exhausted.
Return your attention to your breath and with each breath that you take allow your workplace stresses to disappear.
You are no longer at work.
You are now able to take time for you,
For those you love or for the things that you love to do.
But first you have to breathe out your workday.
Breathe in and out.
Breathe in and out.
Breathe in and out.
Breathe in positivity and breathe out any stress or tension from your day.
Who mind wanders return it to your breath.
I want you to envision you leaving your workplace knowing that this marks the end of your workday and that the day is now your own.
If you work from home or work for yourself I want you to envision leaving your workspace.
I want you to envision turning your phone off and I want you to envision shutting down your laptop or your computer knowing that this marks the end of your workday and that the day is now your own.
Acknowledge that completing this meditation is a positive step towards reducing stress and tension from your workday.
Acknowledge that after this meditation you are able to do whatever you desire for the remainder of the day.
Return your focus back to your breath.
Breathe in positivity and breathe out any stress or any tension.
When you open your eyes you will be ready to continue with your day.
