Hi,
This is Brooks and thanks for joining me.
It's really nice to be here with you.
So today we're gonna talk about the amazing duo of your heart and your lungs.
Or maybe I should say trio because there's two lungs and one heart.
Basically they're amazing and we're gonna talk about them today.
Actually we're gonna experience them and we're gonna experience how much they love us.
The tremendous amount of love we have from our hearts,
Your heart and lungs.
So I'd like you to find a comfortable place to sit or to lie down and then close your eyes.
Okay,
Feel your breath come in and your breath go back out.
Your breath comes in,
Your breath goes out.
Very simple.
In and out.
And it's simple because the breathing is happening on its own.
You don't have to do it.
How nice.
Breath comes in,
The breath goes out.
It's taken care of.
It's so nice to be taken care of that way by our lungs.
They're breathing us.
And they're unceasing.
They breathe us when we're asleep.
They breathe us when we're not thinking about our breath.
And they work extra hard when we're exercising,
When we need extra oxygen,
Extra breath.
They see the job,
They do the job,
They stay out of the misery.
And they do this because they love us.
Our lungs love us.
Your lungs love you.
They're breathing you.
They're giving you the constant gift of life.
If you didn't breathe,
You wouldn't be alive.
You wouldn't be able to experience anything.
You wouldn't be able to notice your breath or hear my voice right now.
And you don't have to deserve being breathed.
You don't have to earn it.
You don't have to work hard.
You don't have to do anything.
You're basically born with a set of lungs and they know what to do.
And they do it.
They love you by constantly giving you this breath of life.
And they work together with another organ that loves you,
Which is the heart.
You can put your hand on your heart and notice it's beating.
It's beating.
There's your heart,
Nestled in there right between your lungs.
The lungs are breathing you.
And then your heart.
It takes that oxygen brought in from the lungs and pumps it through your body,
Through all the veins and the capillaries,
Through the blood.
And the heart works ceaselessly for you,
Too.
It's been there since the very beginning.
And you don't have to ask for it to do what it does or earn it,
Deserve it.
It beats your heart no matter what.
Just like your lungs breathe you,
No matter what.
And it's love because it's devotion.
It's constant devotion.
Perhaps you can feel that love with each breath,
With each heartbeat.
It's a message of love.
And it's pure evidence.
There's the evidence.
The lungs breathing in and out and the heart beating.
And we don't notice it because it's always there.
It's taken for granted.
It's not even thought about until now.
So we feel that breath come in and the breath go out.
And we feel that heartbeat.
It's all working together.
And we know that we're loved,
Pure and simple.
It's an unconditional love.
And it's intimate.
Suddenly being alive is more than just existing.
It's experiencing this love.
So we're going to end the meditation now.
You can open your eyes,
Stretch,
Take a deep breath,
Look around.
And congratulations on taking this look,
Experiencing this love within you.
I wish you the best.
Take care.
