Hey everyone!

I hope that you guys are doing amazing wherever you are in the world.

My name is Bhoom Shikha and I welcome you to my channel.

As always I'm so grateful that you're listening,

Subscribing and commenting.

I really appreciate the support.

In this one I wanted to kind of give you a brief spiel on EFT,

Emotional Freedom Technique.

I've done a video,

A couple of videos I think,

On TRE,

Another technique that I love for the psychosomatic work that I've been speaking a lot about.

I've been kind of enamored with it and I've been doing so much of it that I really want to share it with you guys because I think it's so powerful.

Especially for people who are empathic or highly sensitive,

Who store a lot of emotions and tensions in their bodies.

I'm sure everyone does actually.

I mean the amount of tension that I've released off of my shoulders,

It literally is night and day.

You guys have no idea.

I used to literally sit like this all the time and just feeling my shoulders coming down like this and actually just being relaxed.

It makes such a difference in the way my body moves,

The way my body feels and how much tension I've released overall in general all throughout my body.

It's been very powerful for me.

So I want to share with you guys,

As I said TRE is another one so go look at my videos on that.

I'm not an expert but I do believe it's a very powerful technique so just look for TRE in general if you are interested in that.

But EFT again is another technique that for a long time I used to be so skeptical of.

I think a lot of people when they hear emotional freedom technique or EFT and they look at what it's about,

A lot of us,

Like scientific people,

Are like this doesn't make any sense.

You just tap on a couple of spots on your body and you're supposed to heal yourself.

That is nonsense.

And that's exactly how I used to think.

I really wanted to do this video because I understand if you're feeling skeptical that,

I mean a lot of times if you're skeptical then it's not going to work for you anyways.

Because it is a mind-body connection thing so if your mind doesn't believe in it then your body is going to be like yeah no.

But also if you are skeptical then I do recommend as I did to try it out once or twice.

Especially if you can with a person who is like an expert in it.

Because I was very lucky where one of my friends did a course on EFT.

And she needed people to kind of test it out on and she used me as a guinea pig and it was literally transformational.

I don't know how to explain it to you guys.

I went in with a lot of skepticism but I was like alright it's my friend I need to help her out I want to support her.

And so she did it on me or she did it with me.

So basically what she did was she sat opposite me and she kind of asked me a couple of questions about things that I wanted to work on.

And then she used my own words in order to kind of tap through all the points.

So there's seven or eight points that you can go through.

The points themselves I think you should do a video like go to a YouTube video for it.

Because there's specific points that you need to touch in the right spot.

There's like spots here and then spots here and then the top of the head and around the eye.

And so there's six or seven spots where you know you tap through while you're speaking about your emotions or about what's going on with you.

So for example if you have an issue with anger and you're feeling angry towards yourself or towards someone else.

Then what you would do is that you know you tap to the points you're like I feel so angry I feel this knot of anger in my stomach.

And you kind of talk through it and you talk through what is going through your body through your mind to your emotions.

And literally because of all the acupuncture points that you're hitting acupressure points you're hitting by using these tapping points.

You're able to release that through psychosomatic connections through the mind body connection.

You're able to release that tension or stress in your mind and through that through your body as well.

There's a lot more to it obviously I mean it's a very complex complicated subject and I absolutely love it.

It's a great technique I mean I've released a lot of anger within myself and a lot of tensions.

And a lot of times my friends say that my EFT friend says that you know if you're just feeling a little bit of tension or anxiety.

Which a lot of us do you know we have social anxiety or anxiety in general.

You know just tap to the points quickly like just whatever you're feeling at the moment.

And it doesn't need to be a whole elaborate process where you like candles and you know you've burned incense.

You can just kind of do it on the go because it is a very quiet process you can kind of talk through it in your head.

You don't even do it out loud or if you're feeling like you don't want to show anyone you can just tap the side of your palm.

Right and so this is a very important point as well and so if you don't want to show anyone you just kind of do it discreetly.

You sit and you just kind of like discreetly kind of tap it while you're talking to through your emotions in your head.

And you're able to release a lot of stuff that way as well.

Though I for me like everything that I'm doing right now is has a psychosomatic aspect to it.

And so EFT obviously had to be a part of it because it is basically the mind-body connection.

You touch different parts of your body and through acupressure points.

You're able to release a lot of the tensions and and stresses that you might be holding in your body.

Right now one of the things that I wanted to say one of the couple of things that I wanted to say that were really important for me.

When I was learning EFT was that I really want to focus on my own emotions and words.

When my friend was saying things and you know she was kind of talking through my emotions.

She was using her own words.

Yes she was trying to use my words but she was using her own words mostly.

Right and so for you if you are doing if you're following a YouTube video where they're doing EFT and they're using their own words.

I highly recommend that you write down your own script based on your own words.

The words that you use in your head daily.

The words that you would use naturally.

And use those words in order to do EFT.

I did a lot of videos online where I'd follow the person speaking and I'd kind of do the tapping.

But it was not as effective as when I started doing my own thing and I'd tap myself and speak my own words.

And literally that was the transformational thing that I needed.

I was I was not feeling the effects of EFT before that much.

And then I started doing the tapping using my own words.

My own specific words in my own way.

And that literally was the difference that I needed in order for EFT to work for me.

So that's one of the things I would definitely recommend.

Of course in the beginning when you're just learning when you're starting out.

Just use the videos that are on YouTube and kind of follow along with them.

They'll speak and you just have to tap or you speak along with them which is great.

Which is very useful and easy.

But as I said eventually when you start thinking about your own financial issues or like things related to money that you want.

Money blocks that you want to get rid of or relationship blocks or anger issues or tensions or stresses or whatever you know.

Whatever you're trying to get rid of.

Start thinking about what words you use to describe that and write those down and then use those in your tapping.

So when you're sitting down in a quiet space by yourself you know ready to do your tapping.

Then you think about the words that you're using and then you tap and you're like I really hate this.

I really want to stop this.

You know I think like that.

You kind of go through the points yourself and you talk through it using your own language.

Your own vocabulary.

Your own instinctual words right.

Because it comes from the heart and also it really helps because those words are connected to tensions in your body.

Those words are connected to spots and neurons in your brain.

And so all of that connects together and using your voice,

Using your words,

Using your vocabulary you're able to negate that experience.

You're able to get rid of it.

You're able to let it go.

For me I noticed when I did my first EFT session with my girlfriend.

Oh my god.

I went back home after and I was literally I was so exhausted and all I had done was it was an hour an hour and a half perhaps.

And I was just sitting and I was just tapping and talking about stuff.

That's it.

It was it should have been a very easy thing to do because it released so much tension within my body.

I had to drink so much water which is a good thing.

And I just fell asleep.

I could not do anything else after I was exhausted.

I was absolutely exhausted.

And that showed me for me particularly was a very great.

It's a good sign because it showed me how much I had released.

Not even realizing that I was holding on to that much tension.

Do you guys know what I'm saying.

So I mean a lot of us hold on to tension without even realizing you're holding it.

You know we have this tension around our eyes or our jaws or you know our shoulders or our belly.

And we don't realize we have this tension.

We're holding on to it for decades and on end.

And you know years and years and years and we don't know that it's there.

And all of a sudden you do these techniques.

And EFT and and Qigong or Tai Chi or yoga and all of a sudden you realize wow there's a lot of tension here.

Where was where was it all this time.

It was there but you just didn't pay attention to it.

You weren't paying enough attention to it.

You weren't even noticing it.

You weren't conscious of it.

And now as I said because of all these techniques that I've been using.

I noticed that you know I'll just be sitting there and suddenly I'll get this real tension around my eyes over here especially.

I'm like why am I still and why am I tensing up what's going on.

Or you know on my jaw you know my I start grinding my teeth or my shoulders will hunch up.

And normally there as I said they're down here but all of a sudden they're little by little they start creeping up.

And so all of these will all of these techniques are good because they start showing you or making you more conscious of all of the tension that you store in your body.

Inadvertently like unintentionally you're just storing it.

Because something happened or something you know caused you to show or store this energy or whatever it might be the reason doesn't matter.

But you're storing this tension and then you're letting it go.

And that's when you'll notice it's different that's when you'll be like oh my god I had no idea I was holding on to so much tension.

Because now that I've released it that's when I really notice the release that's when I really noticed that it was actually there.

As I said for me now that I noticed that my shoulders are relaxed that's when I really notice a difference when I do hunch up.

It feels really uncomfortable and it feels like whoa what am I doing why am I tensing up.

And that's a great thing you know that noticing that consciousness is really what we all need.

And a lot of us are missing you know you might be clenching your jaw for years on end without realizing that you've been doing it.

You know can you imagine having like a clenched jaw for years without even knowing that you're doing it.

It's a terrible thing not for not only for your teeth for your jaw muscles for your face all of it's interconnected.

That's why a lot of people start getting headaches and they don't know it's because they're clenching their jaw you know.

And so again everything is interconnected in our body and mind-body connection is extremely powerful.

So I do recommend that you kind of go in and look at some EFT videos and do that for yourself.

But again try as much as possible to use your own vocabulary it really does make a difference.

I hope this was good I just wanted to give you a brief introduction I'm not an expert I just use it for myself.

And I love it so much that I want to share it with you.
