The healing breath is the foundation of all the meditations I guide people through.
It invites a sense of space and release as you inhale light into your being and exhale out all the things that no longer serve you.
It is the one breath you can take to help you center yourself when life seems to be spinning out of control around you.
And so,
I invite you to master this technique so that it becomes your go-to reset whenever you need it.
Let's begin now by finding a comfortable position either sitting or lying down.
Once you're there,
Gently close your eyes and begin inhaling and exhaling through your nose only if it's comfortable for you.
I recommend inhaling and exhaling through the nose as it starts to draw the focus and the attention inward.
And so just continuing to follow the breath,
Noticing how it feels to breathe in this moment.
Is the breath moving through easily and effortlessly or do you find the breath stopping or feeling stuck anywhere?
And now releasing any judgment about what you think your breath should be like.
This is just a noticing.
And now we will begin with the healing breath.
So continue to inhale and exhale through the nose and on your next inhale,
Feel the breath coming up from the stomach and up into the chest.
Pause and hold the breath slightly,
Focusing your gaze with your eyes closed on your third eye or the space between your eyebrows.
And then slowly exhale through the nose back down that same line of energy till every last bit of breath is released.
You may feel your stomach contract as you squeeze out every last bit of breath before inhaling again,
Drawing the breath up from the stomach into the chest,
Pausing and holding the breath,
Focusing the gaze on the third eye.
And then slowly exhaling back down till every last bit of breath is released.
And next,
We're going to add the component that makes this a truly healing breath.
So continuing to breathe in this way,
On the next inhale,
I'd like you to visualize a beautiful white healing light coming into your body with the breath.
Pause and hold the white light in and notice if it gravitates or moves towards any areas that need extra attention,
Love or healing.
And then slowly exhale out anything that no longer serves you in your life at this time,
Any stress,
Tension or pain.
And then inhaling again,
Inviting in that beautiful healing clarifying white light,
Pausing and holding it in,
Feeling it start to create more space in the body and the mind and in the aura.
And then slowly exhaling back down,
Releasing worry,
Fear or stagnation.
So just continuing to invite in the healing light on the inhale,
Starting to feel the light in every cell of your body as you pause and hold the breath.
And then slowly exhaling out all the things that no longer serve you in your life at this time.
Even if you don't know exactly what those things are,
It's more about the intention of releasing on the exhale and inviting light in on the inhale.
And so at this time,
I invite you to take three more healing breaths on your own,
Drawing in the beautiful white healing light on the inhale and exhaling out any darkness or negativity on the exhale.
Beautiful.
Feel free to resume normal breathing at this time,
Taking a moment to notice if there's any difference in your breath from when you first started today.
And when you're ready,
Slowly and gently opening your eyes halfway first before fully opening them coming back into the present moment.
May your day be beautiful and blessed and I look forward to guiding you home to your higher self in the next meditation.
