Welcome to this energizing breath work practice.

We're going to do a quick routine together designed to give you a boost of energy,

Help you feel grounded,

Focused and ready for the day ahead or whatever it is you have in front of you right now.

All you need is a safe comfortable space to sit and a few minutes of time.

We're going to do three rounds of 10 activating breaths followed by a short hold after each round.

Now you can breathe in with firm inhales through the mouth and exhales through the mouth as well so it's going to sound a little bit like this.

Nice firm clear activating breath in and a little bit more of a passive exhale just sort of releasing that exhale through the mouth.

Okay let's jump right in.

First let's get a little bit settled so take a moment to feel into your body and settle into your seat.

Feel that connection to the ground beneath you whether through your feet so you can bring awareness to the soles of your feet or to your bottom and just noticing that connection with the ground that interaction between the ground and gravity.

Straighten your spine just slightly as you take a gentle inhale through the nose and exhale it out through the mouth as you drop your shoulders.

Let's do another inhale in through the nose lengthening your back as you inhale and release it out through the mouth relaxing even more deeply as you settle into your body.

Just being right here right now the day ahead is a day ahead but you are fully present for this breath work practice in order to get the most out of it enjoying enjoying the breath as we consciously use this powerful tool to bring energy into our body to bring clarity into our mind.

So just a reminder we're going to do three rounds of 10 activating breaths followed by a short 10 second hold after each round then we'll release and settle for a minute or two to integrate.

Okay round one let's we're going to begin in three two one inhale and exhale ah breathe in and release inhale and exhale bring it in all the way and release completely beautiful work inhale and release ah inhale filling up completely and exhale emptying out completely bring it in and release bring it in and exhale last breath we're going to hold on the inhale this time bring it in at the very top let's hold you can count in your head with me nine eight seven six five four three two one release that beautiful breath just settle for a moment before we begin round two come back into your body just notice those sensations maybe you're already feeling a bit of energy moving through beautiful work we're going to move to our second round in three two two one bring it in and exhale inhale and release fill in completely and exhale inhale and release ah pull in that air and let it go pull it in and release inhale all the way and release two more breaths this round inhale all the way and release last one inhale all the way we're going to hold at the top once again for those 10 seconds i'm counting for you just relax into the sensations of your body settle into the silence into the stillness of your breath hold a few more seconds just relax and release that beautiful breath well done we're two rounds in one more round to go to just bring a little bit more power and clarity into your day we'll begin round three in three two one bring it in and release inhale and let it go all the way full and let it go again bring it in completely and exhale inhale and exhale ah bring it in and release bring it in let it go all the way full all the way out two more bring it in and release last breath in and release we're going to hold on the exhale this time empty empty empty and hold with the lungs empty i'm counting for you just relax into that breath hold settle into the silence into the space feel that energy flow few more seconds beautiful work and release take a beautiful breath in sigh it out gently beautiful breath in again into the nose out to the nose and now allowing your breathing to return to its natural rhythm sitting still and noticing any shifts in your energy and your focus just settle releasing any control releasing any method let the breath come back to a natural equilibrium of inhale and exhale do your best to breathe in and out through the nose now activating our parasympathetic nervous system our relaxation response after those beautiful rounds of activating breath nice and easy give yourself this space this moment to just come back into balance again noticing any shifts in energy notice the clarity that you may be feeling right now clarity throughout the body as you notice your sensations clarity in the mind as maybe your thoughts have cleared a bit like a clear sky free of clouds what can you do with this spaciousness and this clarity and what you have in front of you take this moment to channel your refreshed energy into something meaningful in your day ahead maybe it's a task maybe it's a relationship or a specific goal you have for today visualize yourself approaching it with positivity with purpose and with confidence and then when you're ready gently move back into your day with this newfound vitality and you can revisit this practice anytime you need a little bit of an energizing boost and have a beautiful beautiful day ahead
