Before we begin,
Please make sure that you are in a comfortable position,
Either seated or lying down.
It is not advisable to listen to this recording while driving or operating heavy machinery.
Ensure that you are a good temperature and that you have a glass of water or another drink nearby.

Let's begin by taking our attention to the breath,
Breathing in deeply through the nose,
Holding for a moment and then breathing out fully and completely through the mouth.
Breathing in,
Hold and breathe out.
Breathing in,
Hold and breathe out.
Breathing in,
Hold and breathe out.
Now relax into this breathing as we continue.
If it feels more natural you might want to start breathing out through the nose.
It's completely up to you.
Now I want you to take your attention to your feet and with your inside voice I want you to tell your feet how much you love them.
Thank them for their service,
For walking you through every journey.
Thank your toes,
Thank your heels,
Thank your ankles.
Now take your attention up to your legs and tell your legs you love them.
You love them for their service.
You love your calves,
Your shins,
Your knees and your thighs.
You love them for every single step they take without hesitation,
Without fear,
Without condition and without complaint.
Now thank your hips.
Tell your hips and your buttocks you love them.
Thank them for their curves,
For their cushioning every time you sit down.
Thank your reproductive organs.
Tell them you love them,
You honor them and respect them.
Thank your stomach.
Tell your stomach how much you love and appreciate it,
For digesting all the foods you eat and sending the nutrition to where it is most needed,
Without pause or instruction.
Thank your intestines,
Your bowel,
Your bladder,
Your kidneys,
Your gallbladder,
Your pancreas.
Love them for all they do for you every second of the day without being asked,
Without hesitation and without complaint.
Now tell your lungs you love them.
Thank them for making use of the oxygen you breathe.
Love your heart.
Thank it for all its hard work.
Thank the veins.
Thank the arteries.
Thank the valves.
Tell your heart how much you love it for pumping away,
Even in those moments you might not care so much,
Still it pumps.
Tell your shoulders you love them.
Thank them for the heavy weights they bear,
Physically and emotionally.
Love your upper arms,
Your lower arms,
Your wrists,
Your hands and your fingers.
Thank them for allowing you to write,
To type,
To touch,
To hold.
Love them for all they are worth.
Now thank your neck for closing up your head,
Even when you felt like it would buckle under all the strain.
Thank your throat and your voice box for giving you the gift of speech so you may express your truth.
Love your mouth and love your lips.
Thank them for all the kisses they have bestowed and will bestow yet.
Love your nose and thank it for all the beautiful aromas it greets.
Love your ears for the ambient sound they receive.
Bless your eyes for this miracle vision that allows you to see this world around you.
Love your eyebrows,
Your eyelashes and your cheeks.
Love your brain for its magical wisdom and intelligence and thank your skull for its protection.
Now that you have loved,
Thanked and blessed your physical body,
It is time to thank your emotional body.
Love your joy and love your sorrow.
Thank the fear and bless the guilt.
Forgive the unforgiving.
Send love to the worry,
The anxiety,
The negativity.
Love the love and bless the hate.
Thank the humour,
The compassion,
The wisdom.
Bless the self-loathing,
The paranoia and the low self-esteem.
Thank your creativity,
Your sexuality and your intuition.
Now let's just take a moment to breathe into this appreciation.
Breathing in and out.
This gratitude for our physical and emotional bodies.
Breathing in and out.
The wonder of being a human being.
Breathing in and out.
Now when you are ready,
Begin to wiggle your fingers and toes,
Rubbing the palms of your hands together,
Stamping your feet gently on the ground,
Slowly coming back into the body.
And when you are ready,
Open your eyes,
Take a sip of water and bring your attention back into the room.
