Ground through your sit bones.
Breathe deeply and fully.
Allow your breath to take whatever form it wants to take.
The length that feels most comfortable.
The cadence that feels most natural.
Notice the ease and softness at the bottom of your exhale.
The cool sensation as you breathe in through your nose and the warmth as you exhale.
Allow your breath to become even,
Perhaps breathing in and out for six counts.
Broaden your collarbones.
Allowing the temples,
Forehead,
Eyebrows,
And eyelids to soften.
Unclenching the jaw entirely.
Perhaps your body feels heavy or weightless.
Breathe through all the points where your body connects to the ground beneath you.
Anchoring you to the support that is all around you.
Notice whether your breath feels deep or shallow.
Rough or smooth.
Mimicking the first stretch that we take when we wake up in the morning.
That big reaching out and up of our arms.
Take a nice deep breath in and stretch out your arms overhead in that morning-like stretch.
And as you do so,
Allow the breath to pour into your body.
Exhaling with a sigh,
Begin to focus on the nature of your thoughts.
Noticing if there's something we're reaching towards or pushing away from.
And finding ourselves in the awareness itself.
Realizing that not only are we the breath,
We are the one observing the breath.
We are the awareness of our breath,
The awareness of our thoughts.
And while our thoughts change,
Our sensations and emotions shift.
That consciousness,
That awareness remains unchanging.
And at the core of our being,
We really are consciousness.
Consciousness experiencing itself.
Continue to breathe a deep and full breath.
Listening for those soul whispers.
The messages that you hear in the silence and the stillness.
Those inner knowings.
And once more,
Connecting to the body.
Connecting to all the points where the air meets your body.
Where your body touches the air.
Noticing whether the air feels warm or cool.
Rubbing your hands together and gently massaging your hands into your neck or shoulders.
And taking any last movement that feels good before opening your eyes and lifting your gaze.
Thank you for practicing with me today.
