A practice to come back to yourself. Deep rest and acceptance can be found through embracing sensations. Allow all thoughts, sensations, and emotions that have been denied. In a world focused on action, this practice is a space to just 'be.'

Softly close your eyes and with that closing allow for the opening that happens internally.

Feel the air against your eyelids,

Your lips and cheeks.

Allow the front of the body to expand as you breathe in.

Tune into the subtle sensations in the body.

Sensations can feel like a tingling,

A tapping,

A heaviness,

A warmth.

Tune into the sensations in the shoulders.

Using the textures of these sensations,

Notice the sensations that feel the loudest or strongest and the sensations that feel softest.

See if you can feel the sensations in the eyebrows.

Perhaps you can even feel the sensations and the heartbeat in the pinky finger.

Breathe slowly and evenly,

Allowing the body to slow and allowing the mind to slow.

Notice the parts of the body that resist slowing down.

What if you allowed yourself to express all that you feel and to be all that you are,

Allowing all thoughts and emotions that have been denied?

Imagine sitting in front of a crystal clear pool of water.

Looking into the water at your own reflection.

Looking into your eyes,

What do you see?

Can you come back to yourself?

Can you fully accept your experience as it is in this moment?

And can you extend that acceptance?

What if you accepted all of your dreams,

All of your desires?

Give yourself several moments to just be,

Just exist.

Let the breath flow like warm honey,

Connecting you to the subtle sensations and experience of the body once more.

Thank you for practicing with me today.
