Hello and welcome dear Mamas-to-be.
Welcome to today's meditation which can pair you for giving birth and can be a meditation that follows you into your birth.
So it's actually more of a visualization which I will guide you through.
So I will be talking a lot and all you need to do is to follow my voice and follow my guidance from beginning to end.
And this meditation visualization is called the tree meditation.
So there is no need for you to adopt any kind of special position.
You can really just make yourself comfortable whether you're sitting on a sofa,
On a chair,
On the ground,
Lying down,
Even in your bed.
But make sure that you're so comfortable that you really won't need or feel the need to move throughout the next 15 minutes or so or that your body won't start hurting.
You're in your third trimester so you're probably feeling a little heavier than you did before and maybe there's some new aches and pains that have started to manifest themselves.
So really make yourself comfortable with plenty of cushions and blankets and everything you need.
And once you've made your little nest,
Your little cocoon,
I invite you to close your eyes as if you were going to fall asleep literally.
So close your eyes,
Take a deep breath in and then sigh it out.
And once more.
Relaxing all tensions in the body,
Just letting your body be,
Letting your body rest in this position you find yourself in.
Whatever thoughts are going through your mind,
Whatever your emotions are,
Your state of mind today,
You can now choose to bring all your awareness,
All your focus to your breath.
So do so now.
Observe your breathing as if it was the most important thing right now.
Following it very closely.
Inhales and exhales.
One at a time.
And let yourself relax with each exhale.
Let your shoulders relax and your chest and your belly.
And now gradually widen,
Open your awareness to the whole body.
The whole body.
Feeling the whole body.
Feeling this body breathing.
This breathing body.
Moment after moment.
Feeling your whole body breathing and resting.
There is nothing for you to do,
Nothing that you have to do or perform right now.
Simply be with your body,
With the breathing.
And welcome all the sensations that the body sends you.
Any emotions,
Feelings,
Or thoughts,
All these little signals and messages.
Welcoming them and allowing them to be.
To come and to go by themselves.
And continue to relax,
To release.
If you notice any tensions anywhere,
See if you can just release and relax a little further,
A little more.
We are now ready to embark on our visualization together on this journey through which I will guide you step by step.
So start by visualizing a path in front of you.
A little pathway on which you start to walk.
You're walking on this path and noticing the nature that boards each side of the path.
Beautiful grasses with flowers,
Insects and bees humming around you.
The plants are colorful,
Fresh and beautiful,
Abundant.
And the sun is shining on your skin,
On your face,
And you feel its warmth.
And you feel also the freshness of the shades and shadows of the trees as you pass them by.
The forest through which you are walking.
You can smell the perfumes in the air.
Perfumes from the resinous trees,
The pine trees,
Perfumes from the flowers.
And you hear all the sounds of nature all around.
The birds calling in the distance.
The wind and breeze through the leaves of the trees.
Your own footsteps on the earthen path.
So step by step you walk down this path and you keep walking until you arrive at the edge of the forest.
And in front of you is a hill,
A beautiful grassy hill.
And on top of that hill you notice a tree,
A beautiful tree,
A very special particular tree.
It looks ancient.
It has so many branches and beautiful leaves.
And it's a beautiful tree.
It's a beautiful tree,
A beautiful grassy hill.
So you inevitably feel very attracted to this tree.
You start to climb the hill,
Step by step going up,
Keeping your eyes on the tree,
Looking carefully as you approach closer and closer.
You start to see the branches and the tree trunk,
The foliage,
The details.
As you observe it,
You feel more and more its presence.
So you come closer.
And the closer you get,
The more you feel that the air is becoming thick and dense with the energy of that tree.
You come closer to the tree,
To the point where you can touch it,
Your tree.
So you place your hand on its rugged trunk and you feel that tree's energy,
The softness of the touch.
You come even closer to embrace it,
Bringing your whole body close to the tree,
Arms around the trunk,
Feeling the softness and the freshness,
Feeling the strong presence of feeling the strong presence of the tree.
You turn around and lean against it,
Coming to sitting with your back,
Your spine against the tree.
And you feel how it supports you,
How it holds you up,
So you can let yourself go completely.
You close your eyes and you feel your tree inside you.
You can feel its strength and its presence.
And slowly,
Slowly,
There is no longer any separation between you and the tree,
No distinction.
You are the tree.
And being a tree,
You start to feel the roots,
Your roots,
Which initially at the beginning are large and then slowly,
Slowly they become thinner and thinner as they branch out further and deeper into the earth.
You can feel them sinking deep into the ground and receiving the nourishments from the depths of the earth.
Feel that nourishment,
Feel the roots that support you and nourish you.
Feel Mother Earth and all her love,
All the wonderful energy that she gives you.
You feel that energy and that nourishment rise within you through your roots.
And she,
This Great Mother,
Gives you also love and understanding.
Along with strength and power.
And you receive all these qualities from her,
From she whose body is the earth.
And you feel how they enter you,
They nourish you and they give you energy.
And in turn,
You feel that you can give these qualities and this love and these energies to the life that you will soon welcome into this world,
To your baby.
Now you're ready to shift your awareness and your attention to the branches above you.
The branches with their foliage,
The leaves,
Your leaves,
You can feel how they are moved by the wind.
And you feel how the leaves receive light and heat from the sun.
Feel the warmth on your leaves and how the energy of the sun enters inside you.
And in turn,
This warmth,
This heat and this love,
This light,
You can send and give to your baby inside your womb.
So feel this energy as it spreads from the leaves,
From the branches,
To the whole trunk,
To your whole being.
And you can now feel the energy from the sun,
The energy from the earth,
Meeting at the level of the trunk in the center of your being.
They combine there and give rise to your very own and special energy.
You feel your energy as a tree and you feel it radiating all around you.
It illuminates the world beyond you,
Beyond the hill,
Beyond the forest.
And you feel your energy is capable of generating more energy,
More aliveness.
You feel the life inside you,
Its strength,
Its expansion.
And your roots continue to grow further,
Wider,
Deeper.
You are radiating this energy and this energy multiplying within you gives you the strength and the trust and the power for the remainder of your journey in pregnancy,
To meeting your baby,
Holding your baby for the first time,
To beginning on your path to being a mother.
Beginning on your path to being a mother.
So feel that strength,
That power and that trust meeting at your center.
And slowly,
Slowly keeping that energy,
That power,
That trust and strength strong and alive,
Bright within.
You come back to feeling your back leaning against the tree trunk.
And you thank your tree for this beautiful experience.
You clearly feel that you are one,
That you are connected together and that your energy is the same.
With this knowledge,
You can take your leave from the tree.
With this awareness that you can come back whenever you want,
You'll just need to close your eyes and see your tree on the top of the hill.
But now it is time to say goodbye and to start to climb down the hill again,
Walking down towards the opening in the forest where your path is.
And you walk along that path again,
Walking back,
Looking at the nature all around you,
But feeling stronger and ready.
And it is time now to come back and out of our visualization and to bring your awareness back to your breathing,
Your breathing body,
Feeling a renewed sense of energy inside you,
Feeling the energies within you,
Feeling renewed.
Taking a couple of deeper breaths into the body,
On your own time,
In your own way,
You can start to move parts of the body,
Wiggle the fingers,
You can start to move parts of the body,
Wiggle the fingers,
The feet maybe,
And slowly,
Slowly taking your time.
And whenever you feel ready,
You can come back and open your eyes.
So Dear Mama,
This meditation can accompany you all the way into labor.
But anytime you feel that you need that strength and that trust from your tree,
Come back to that hill and lean against the trunk and close your eyes.
