Chapter 10,

Love yourself.

As babies,

We are full of adventure and curiosity.

Our parents and other adults in our intimate circle set our first boundaries.

As we grow older,

We must set new boundaries.

How do you treat yourself?

Do you take time for yourself?

Do people treat you the way you want to be treated?

If you don't like your answers,

Set new boundaries for yourself and adjust them as needed.

As you begin to change,

People will adapt their behavior.

If you aren't pleased with the way others treat you,

Look at how you treat yourself.

Can you look yourself in the mirror and say,

I love you?

Can you write yourself a love letter and list all your wonderful traits?

Start with those simple acts and become comfortable with expressing your love for yourself to you.

Self-love and acceptance are important for well-being and growth.

Make loving yourself an active practice by paying attention to how you feel in different situations.

Listen to your intuition,

Your personal guidance system,

Your PGS,

And feel yourself fall deeper and deeper in love with you.

Practice.

Think about how you want to be treated.

If you don't like how people treat you,

Think of someone you respect and think of how others treat him or her.

Use this as a guide to adjust your boundaries.

Practice assertiveness as others approach you.

Affirmation,

I accept and love myself for who I am.
