Meditation requires your full attention and focus.
Please listen when you can be still and free from distracting activities such as driving or operating heavy equipment.
It is recommended that you remain seated during the meditation with your back straight and your feet on the ground.
As you begin to settle in,
Gently place your hands in the center of your chest so that one is slightly above the other.
Your hands will remain here for the duration of the meditation.
There will be no music,
Only my voice to guide you.
Let's begin.
Begin to notice your heartbeat as you focus on your breath and just breathe.
Continue to breathe with conscious awareness and just breathe.
No need to adjust your breath,
Just simply become aware and conscious that you are breathing.
Breathe in and breathe out.
Feel your body beginning to settle as you're breathing in and breathing out.
When your thoughts wander,
Simply send your thoughts back to your breath and breathe consciously.
Just breathe.
Continue to breathe.
Gently begin to rub your hands together and feel the warmth created.
Place your hands over your eyes.
Take a deep breath in and release.
Open your eyes,
Release your hands,
And bring your awareness back to the room.
You've just completed a five-minute practice of breathing.
Congratulate yourself and carry this feeling with you throughout the day.
You can reach back for this moment or just stop and breathe at any time during the day to reconnect you with the present moment.
Be well.
