Welcome to today's guided meditation for facing your fears.
I'm so glad you decided to gift yourself these 10 minutes to quiet your mind and allow yourself to go inwards.
We can see mountains as a metaphor for facing our fears.
We each have our own mountain to climb with challenges and obstacles every day.
Gently close your eyes and get comfortable.
Allow all of your awareness to be on your breath right now.
Paying attention to how the breath is flowing in and out.
Taking a deep breath in through your nose and slowly letting it out through your mouth.
Let each breath in long and slow.
With each breath feel the muscles in the face relax.
Feel your shoulders dropping down away from your ears.
Releasing any tension you've been carrying,
Allowing it to dissolve.
As you breathe this way,
Send signals to your body that you are safe.
Breathe in and let it go.
Notice how soothing this breath is.
Inhale and as you exhale concentrate on the sound of my voice,
Allowing it to ground you into the present moment.
Sometimes when you are faced with a new and challenging endeavor,
It can seem insurmountable.
Standing at the bottom of your mountain,
You may look up and feel overwhelmed by how far you have to go.
You cannot control what scares you,
What obstacles you will have to conquer or when fear will take over.
It is okay to feel fear,
But it's also important to remember that you can control your reaction.
Fear is just a feeling.
You have the power to stay present and control your internal self.
Now let us gently welcome today's mantra,
Repeating it mentally and allowing it to flow with effortless ease.
I am strong.
I am grounded.
I am protected.
I am safe.
I am strong.
I am grounded.
I am protected.
I am safe.
You may have memories,
Images or feelings come up.
That's okay.
Let whatever happens,
Happen.
Just keep mentally repeating this mantra to yourself.
I am strong.
I am grounded.
I am protected.
I am safe.
I am grounded.
I am safe.
I am grounded.
I am safe.
I am grounded.
I am safe.
I am grounded.
I am safe.
Inhaling and exhaling,
Slowly and deeply.
Thank you for taking this moment and being present.
In these uncertain times,
It's important to remember that you have control of your internal self.
The more you can remain in the present,
The better you will be able to navigate the challenges life throws your way.
Remember,
Your breath is power and you always have availability to it.
You have the opportunity to see each fear and challenge with new eyes each moment.
When you feel ready,
Gently open your eyes.
Let presence be the gift you give yourself today because you are strong,
You are grounded,
You are protected and you are safe.
Keep growing and keep loving.
Namaste.
