Welcome to this guided meditation for relaxation.
Please make yourself comfortable in a quiet place where you won't be disturbed.
Find a seated or lying position that allows your body to be relaxed but alert.
Close your eyes and take a deep breath through your nose.
Hold it for a few seconds and then release it slowly through your mouth.
Allow your breath to find its natural rhythm.
Take another deep breath in and as you exhale imagine that you are releasing any tension or stress from your body.
Let it all go and feel yourself sinking deeper into relaxation.
Imagine a beautiful and peaceful scene in your mind's eye.
Perhaps it's a beach,
A forest or a mountain.
Whatever it is,
Allow yourself to fully immerse in the tranquility of this place.
As you take in the surroundings of this peaceful place,
Notice the sensations in your body.
Become aware of any areas of tension or discomfort and imagine the melting away in the warmth of the sun or the gentle breeze.
Now bring your attention to your breath.
Notice the cool air as you inhale and the warm air as you exhale.
Feel the rays unfold of your chest and belly with each breath.
As you continue to breathe deeply,
Imagine a feeling of calmness spreading throughout your entire body.
Your muscles become loose and relaxed and your mind becomes clear and calm.
Take a moment to simply enjoy this sense of relaxation and peace.
You deserve this time to rest and recharge.
When you are ready,
Take one last deep breath in and as you exhale,
Slowly bring yourself back to the present moment.
Wiggle your fingers and toes and open your eyes.
