Welcome to this meditation that allows us to connect and align with the element of water.
Water.
Smooth,
Flowing,
Cool,
And movable.
Water transports,
Connects,
And provides nourishment.
Water cleanses.
Water allows,
Softens,
And lets us feel connected to the flow.
Water reminds us of the flowing,
Adaptable nature of ourselves,
And supports our relationships and our healthy emotional expression.
Settle into a comfortable posture,
Relaxed and soft.
Allow your eyes to close.
Let your palms rest comfortably on your low belly,
And bring your awareness into your breath.
Feel your hands resting on your lower belly,
And allow your breath to flow into the space of the belly underneath your palms.
Feel your belly rising and falling,
Soft and movable with the breath.
Allow your breath to slow down and become more fluid in nature,
Smoothing any roughness out of the breath,
And continuing to let it swell deeply,
Like a wave,
Into the belly and back out again.
We'll connect now with our centering thought.

We can use the simple seed mantra VAM to connect ourselves with the water element.
As your breath continues to flow,
Gently begin to repeat in your mind's eye VAM with each exhalation,
Silently repeating the mantra VAM each time you breathe out.
VAM.
Continue with the silent repetition of this mantra while I keep track of the time.
Now softly bring your awareness back to your breath.
Feel it flowing in and flowing out.
Remember now your centering thought.

Then together,
Out loud now,
Let's chant VAM.
Allow a deep inhalation.
VAM.
And inhale the water energy back in.
Exhale slowly and completely.
Bring your hands gently together before your heart in a prayer position.
Bow lips toward fingertips,
Honoring this time you have taken,
Honoring the element of water with Namaste.
