That reminds us that we have the power to choose what we focus on and the tone we set for ourselves.
Taking the time to set your intention positively and clearly can be a powerful tool for manifesting your experience.
You can repeat an intention statement over a length of time,
Like weeks or months,
Or it may change from one day to the next.
Either way,
I'll guide you through setting your intention effectively now.
Begin by taking a moment to check in.
Close your eyes.
Make sure that you are comfortable,
That your posture feels spacious and aligned.
Then begin to ask yourself,
How are you?
Just notice.
How are you physically?
What is your mood like?
How is your energy in this moment?
Based on what you notice,
What do you need?
What would be helpful?
What tone would you like to bring to this day?
With this insight,
You can begin to set your intention using three essential elements.
To begin,
We set our intention in the first person,
I.
Then we make sure that its present tense,
Am,
Not want to or will be,
But am,
I am.
And finally,
We ensure that our intention is positively framed.
So for example,
Perhaps mine is I am calm.
I want to avoid using phrasing like I am not stressed out or I am not feeling angry.
Instead,
We want to find the positive counterpart.
I am calm,
For example.
So our intention statement flows as I am and whatever your word or to,
And I encourage you to keep it short,
Keep it clear.
Then we can begin to embody our intention via the breath.
As you inhale,
Silently repeat to yourself,
I am.
As you exhale,
Repeat your intention phrase,
Whatever your word or to is.
Begin to coordinate your I am statement with the rhythm of your breath.
I am as you inhale and your word as you exhale.
Please continue this way for a few moments.
As you continue repeating your I am statement,
Allow yourself to begin to feel whatever the quality of your intention is.
Realizing that you can begin to take on this tone,
This characteristic,
Your intention as a way of being.
Repeat your phrase a few more times.
I am on your inhalation and your word on your exhalation.
Then please deepen your breath in.
Exhale completely.
And gently allow your eyes to open.
Realizing that you can come back to your intention statement anytime,
You can repeat it to yourself silently or aloud as needed throughout your day.
You can write it and use it to help you manifest your best self.
