Hi everyone.
Today I would like to talk about the topic of forgiveness.
And I would like to use the quote,
Forgive them for they know not what they do.
And the reason I would like to use that quote is because I feel like it's really appropriate for the deeper meaning behind forgiveness.
And.
.
.
I'll share my thoughts and my experiences about forgiveness.
So.
.
.
I feel like when we're born into this world,
We.
.
.
Experience lower vibrational energies and It's easy to begin our journey.
Reacting and acting out automatically.
Most of what we're doing is unconscious,
Especially at the beginning of our journey.
And even now,
There's a lot that we go through that we're unconscious and unaware of.
So,
When we go through difficult experiences,
We can start to carry her pain,
Resentment and securities.
Different things like this,
And when we don't know that we're carrying that or really have an understanding of it,
Um.
.
.
Were going on in our lives and these different lower vibrational energies can play out in our experiences in the way that we treat people.
And.
Different things we choose to do,
Be,
Or say.
Um.
.
.
And most of the time when.
We do something hurtful to someone else.
It's coming from hurt.
It's coming from pain in some way,
Shape,
Or form.
That's the source of where it's coming from is hurt or pain.
And it's hard to know that.
You know,
We're acting out from this place of hurt or pain,
Let alone know how to understand it,
If we can even recognize that's what we're doing.
And.
From what I've understood is that I feel like I've understood more about forgiveness in a deeper way where if someone does something that's hurtful to me.
I can.
Understand that That isn't a reflection of me.
That's just how they know how to deal with whatever they're dealing with.
That is where they are in their learning process.
That's where they are at in their life.
I feel like this also comes back to self-acceptance,
Too,
Because it's like we are where we are.
If we are carrying pain and resentment and hurt and we don't really know what to do with it and that's where we're at in our life,
Sometimes that does get projected out.
Does become an outward experience towards other people,
Places,
Or situations.
And it's not that we're really even intentionally trying to do it.
It may be something that's unconscious.
That's why I wanted to say the quote,
Forgive them for they know not what they do,
Because We're existing the way that we know how to exist and sometimes.
That's just the way it is until we can have that learning experience or moment of awareness where we get to know more.
And sometimes we might need to play out.
These experiences for years until we can finally figure it out.
That could be for any of us that we might play out the same experience for years before we can actually realize Oh hey,
Like.
.
.
You know,
I have more responsibility and accountability in this,
You know,
When I do something hurtful to someone else or whatever it is.
Because when we have such a great amount of pain and we're acting out from this place of pain,
It can feel very justified in the moment because the pain is real.
Projecting it out towards that other person.
Um.
.
.
That's not the situation that caused the great amount of pain that's already there.
At least that's from what I've understood in my own experience where I've projected out pain,
My pain to other people.
And my hurt to other people.
The hurt and pain I was feeling on the inside was very real.
And the situation around me,
The person,
Place,
Or situation that was around me actually just triggered that pain.
So sure,
I could have experienced a situation in the here and now that did hurt my feelings,
Which is valid.
But the great amount of pain that comes up and the way I projected that out,
That was.
.
.
Pain that was already there.
So for example,
Say I experience a situation where I get triggered and say it triggers my insecurity.
And then I lash out because now I feel really crappy and I feel the energy of worthlessness and insecure.
And I'm mad at this person for making me feel that way.
Well,
That actually shows me that I have all of this.
Energy that I'm carrying of insecurity worthlessness pain and hurt and that actually just brings all that up for me and then it reminds me like Um where that came from and then I have years of that energy that I've built on of experiences and emotions and things that have made me feel insecure or worthless,
For example,
And I haven't actually loved those parts of myself yet,
Healed those parts of myself,
Understood those parts of myself yet,
So that's still stirring and sitting there.
And the experience that I had in the here and now actually just triggered that pain,
So I automatically lashed out because I felt hurt,
And that hurt was already there.
So anyway,
So that's kind of what I've experienced.
On my side of things where I have acted out for my pain.
So when I understand that I've acted out for my pain,
And it wasn't something that I could really understand at the time,
And it felt valid and everything.
Um That's why I wanted to bring in the.
Topic of forgiveness because I feel like we deserve to give love and grace to ourselves in the moment when we're experiencing our pain.
And then we deserve to give other people love and grace and forgiveness when they're experiencing their pain.
And I understand that that's easier said than done.
I understand that.
When someone does something to hurt us,
It is very easy to be attached to it.
It is very easy to internalize it.
That's something that I experienced for a very long time,
And I'm still working through this too,
To not internalize.
Someone else's projection.
Isn't a reflection of who I am or who I am not.
Um.
.
.
You know,
The idea of who I am,
That's just what that person's experiencing.
So.
Whenever something happens where I experience a hurtful situation where Um,
Say my feelings get hurt,
I'm learning more how to love and care and nurture the parts of myself that feel hurt.
And then.
Put up boundaries between me and that person,
Place your situation and be like,
Hey,
It's not mine.
I don't have to carry that.
I don't have to internalize it.
I don't have to attach myself to it.
And I'm,
Learning how to.
Redirect how I feel afterwards and use my own self-love and self-care practices,
The more that I do my own self-love and self-care and healing,
The more that I can have that deep understanding and awareness and be like,
Oh,
That's what they're going through.
It's not about me.
That's where they're at.
And I know I've been there too.
So I can't say that I haven't been in a position where I am feeling a great amount of anger,
Hurt,
Pain,
Resentment.
I've been there too.
And.
.
.
I appreciate.
Anyone who has stayed in my life after me acting out in ways that I would have rather not but I'm on my healing journey just like everyone else's too,
So I feel like At one.
At a certain point,
We all get to learn a little bit more about our own pain and understand how it affects others,
How it affects ourselves.
And when we learn more about love and forgiveness for ourselves,
Love and forgiveness for others,
We can let go of the divisiveness energies towards other people and.
We can start to let go of pain and resentment that we don't need to carry from situations that happen.
Because that takes up a lot of our energy when we put so much energy and focus towards being mad at someone,
Holding anger and resentment for someone over what they did.
That just takes up our energy and that's less energy that we have for happiness,
Joy,
Fulfillment.
Love and care.
So.
.
.
That's just something that I wanted to shine a light on about forgiveness is because I feel like this is a really difficult journey and each of us go through really difficult experiences.
It's hard to know what to do with our pain.
And especially when we don't know what to do with our pain,
We have to keep going,
We have to keep living,
And we're gonna continue to keep learning.
And that's going to look like,
Feel like.
And be different for each person that's here.
And.
That's just kind of what it is.
I'm not trying to sound harsh about that.
Or anything,
It's just that.
The more we can learn to love and take care of ourselves.
The better we can be at understanding what's happening in the situation at a deeper level,
So we don't have to build up pain,
Anger,
And resentment for our everyday situations that we go in and hold those energies.
And we don't have to carry other people's pain that they're projecting out on to us either,
Like we don't have to carry.
Those ideas,
Thoughts,
Or judgments that are someone else's.
Or whatever it is,
Those energies.
So this is just something that I wanted to talk about today with forgiveness,
Because I feel like it's really important that we can learn more about our own pain.
And then when we learn more about our own pain,
We understand that others have pain too,
And they're doing the best they can to try to deal with it.
And I know that I've had my experience with it,
And I know it's extremely difficult.
Um.
.
.
And we are where we are wherever we're at in our journey.
That's where we're at.
Whether we're.
Experiencing a great amount of pain,
We're in the middle,
Or there's lightness,
You know,
It varies.
Doesn't mean.
You just experience one thing all the time.
I mean,
We experience it all,
Like,
In a wave.
Sometimes it might be really heavy,
Sometimes it might be in between,
Sometimes we might be feeling joy.
But whatever we're experiencing,
It is valid.
And that's where we're at in our learning experience.
And that's all that we can do is just do the best we can with where we're at in our learning experience.
And we all have had different experiences that have brought us to where we are today.
The emotions that we experience,
Whatever we're experiencing is valid.
So I can't judge someone else for how they're experiencing what they've went through in their life.
Because I didn't experience that.
I didn't go through that.
And I don't know how I would handle it,
Whatever they went through.
Um You know,
So that's another thing too,
Is to not judge other people for the way That they are because they're doing the best they can with what they've been given and they are where they are in their learning process.
And when we are acting out from pain and hurt like that.
We're not happy.
Whenever we are acting out from that place.
It's it's not happiness So it's not like that person is really enjoying themselves either,
You know,
So.
It's important for us to take care of ourselves and love ourselves and not attach ourselves to other people's lives,
Other people's journeys,
What other people are going through because.
It's not for us to carry.
So I feel like when we can understand.
Um,
Coming from that place of understanding that life gets a little bit easier and we can just learn to love and care for ourselves better and understand that this is how it is on our journey that we're all.
In our own experience,
And it's valid how we feel and we do our best to take care of ourselves on this journey and.
Love who we are and care for who we are always.
Thank you all so much for listening today.
I really appreciate everyone being here.
Thanks for listening.
