This loving-kindness (metta)-inspired prayer is designed to support your emotional healing. It is an invitation to trust the unique unfolding of your journey to wholeness and innate wisdom of your body as you navigate the waves of emotions. It is an encouragement to embody your emotions playfully and understand them compassionately. It is a reminder to return your non-judgmental awareness again and again to how they are manifesting in your body rather than why they are occurring. You may repeat each line after me, write down the prayers that most resonate with you, listen, or leave the recording playing in the background.

May you trust your unique healing process and path to wholeness.

May you trust and honour your edges.

May you trust the wisdom of your body and its innate capacity for healing and returning to a state of homeostasis.

As you come to trust,

Welcome and accept your emotions,

May you come to trust,

Welcome and embrace the mystery of life itself as it unfolds before you.

May you let go of when and how your healing occurs.

May you trust the necessary components of your healing to manifest according to a timing greater than your own.

As best as you can,

May you approach each moment of your healing with openness and gentle curiosity,

As if each moment were a discovery demanding your undivided loving presence.

May you be gracefully guided in your healing journey.

May you trust that any emotions arising from within you long to be heard,

Seen and known by you.

May you remember that emotions are a physical sensation or a cluster of sensations accompanied by a thought,

Belief or narrative about yourself,

Others,

The world or the universe at large.

May you gently and compassionately drop from your head into your body,

Noticing without judgment any physical sensations that are present as your emotions arise from within you moving through your body.

May you bring to your emotions your undivided loving presence,

Playful embodiment and compassionate understanding.

As you experience your emotions as best as you can,

May you anchor your awareness through your body or breath.

May you create a safe and brave space for you to experience your emotions.

May you feel safe experiencing your emotions.

As best as you can,

May you acknowledge your human tendency to intellectualize your emotions and may you let go of it with gratitude,

Knowing it served its purpose in the past by protecting you from feeling when you weren't ready to do so.

As best as you can,

May you bring your loving and kind awareness to how your emotions are manifesting in your body rather than questioning why they are happening.

May you recognize and compassionately release any maladaptive thought,

Belief or narrative preventing you from experiencing your emotions fully.

May you make space within and around you to express your emotions safely,

Vulnerably,

Authentically and freely.

May you give yourself permission to be with your emotions to whatever degree you are ready to be with them.

May you ask for the support you need as you experience your emotions.

May you embody your emotions through the powerful channels of your body and voice.

May you express your feelings through any creative medium that most resonates with you.
