Hello and welcome,
Meditators,
To this meditation on owning your happiness.
If there is one thing that I have learned from the last seven years of studying happiness,
It's this.
We all want to be happy.
We all want happiness.
And yet,
So many of us have a strained relationship with happiness.
Many of us don't believe we deserve happiness,
Or we think we can only be happy if we work really hard for it and we earn it.
Or maybe we sabotage our happiness because we don't feel worthy of it.
We worry and question when things are good,
Like when's the other shoe gonna drop,
Or this is too good to be true.
But is it?
Is it too good to be true?
I don't think so.
I believe our purpose here is to be happy.
It is to live from our joy.
Joy and love,
That is who we are.
And there are no boxes you have to check off for happiness.
There is no criteria.
Everyone deserves to be happy,
And that includes you.
Now today we're gonna be repeating several mantras all around happiness.
So feel free to repeat these out loud or to yourself.
And let's start by finding a nice,
Comfortable seat.
Taking a moment to make sure you're sitting up nice and tall,
Shoulders stacked right over those hips.
Hands can rest wherever it feels comfortable for you.
Take a moment here to observe the breath,
Just noticing how the breath feels in the body.
Noticing temperature,
Texture.
And with each breath,
The body becomes more and more relaxed.
And now repeating these mantras here together.
I am pure happiness.
I welcome with an open heart the happiness that is meant for me.
I align with what brings me joy.
Happiness is my birthright.
I am pure happiness.
I welcome with an open heart the happiness that is meant for me.
I align with what brings me joy.
Happiness is my birthright.
I am pure happiness.
I welcome with an open heart the happiness that is meant for me.
I align with what brings me joy.
Happiness is my birthright.
I deserve happiness.
I deserve happiness.
I deserve happiness.
And so it is.
And allowing a gentle smile to come to your face.
Let the edges of your lips curl up toward the ears.
Allowing yourself to feel into this joy.
This joy that is you.
This joy that lives in the center of your being.
Take a nice big deep breath in.
Breathing all the way down into that joy.
Into that bright light.
And exhale,
Let it go.
One more time.
Inhale big breath in.
Breathe into that light.
Breathe into that joy.
And exhale,
Let it go.
Thank you so much for meditating with me today.
Allow the joy that you deserve to come into your life.
Allow it.
May you feel so much joy and happiness in every moment.
Namaste.
