Hello and welcome everyone to this meditation where we will be focusing on believing that we can do hard things.
You know in life it's so easy to get derailed and discouraged.
We compare ourselves to others,
We mess up,
We fumble,
We fall.
And we use those things as evidence that we might as well quit,
We can't succeed,
And eventually end up believing that we are incapable of living out our dreams.
Now you know just as much as I do that that is a lie.
You see we are going to fumble,
We are going to fall and mess up sometimes.
This does not mean that you can't and shouldn't keep going.
So if you're feeling a little bit down,
If you're feeling unmotivated or discouraged,
This meditation will remind you just what you're capable of.
My invitation for you as we move through this meditation together today is a mantra.
I can do hard things.
Now making your way into a comfortable seat,
Whether that's on a cushion or in a chair.
Using your eyes,
Starting to ground into the breath.
Nice big inhale through the nose,
Filling up the lungs.
And exhale,
Letting it go.
Two more times inhaling through the nose,
Soft gentle breaths.
And let it go.
One more time together,
Inhale through the nose,
Soft gentle loving breath in.
And exhaling it all the way out.
Now placing your hands right above your belly button.
Tucking one hand on top of the other.
This is the place of your third chakra.
What we consider your determination,
Your drive,
Your passion,
Your will to succeed.
And with your hands gently resting on your belly here.
Imagining that right below the hands is a little spark.
And as you breathe into that little spark,
It gets brighter and warmer.
Breathing that spark by using your breath,
Inhaling the spark grows bigger,
Brighter,
Warmer.
Few more times breathing in,
Allowing that warmth to expand throughout your belly,
Fueling the fire within you.
And keeping your hands right where they are,
Starting to settle into your natural breath.
And continuing to feel the warmth that you have generated,
This fire in your belly.
Feel free to repeat this out loud to yourself.
I can do hard things.
I can learn to love myself and know that I am worthy.
I can take bigger,
Bolder risks.
I can speak up.
I can choose to quit.
I can choose to start.
I can do hard things.
I can break down and rise back up.
I can be imperfect and still know that I am enough.
I can be brave even when I'm scared.
I can do hard things.
I am capable of doing hard things.
Take a big breath into your belly,
Breathing in that truth,
Allowing it to anchor in on your exhale.
Now bringing your hands to heart center,
Right hand on the chest,
Left hand on top of right.
And taking a breath and solidifying that truth.
I can do hard things.
Taking one more breath here together,
Breathing into your heart space,
Solidifying,
Anchoring in that truth.
I can do hard things.
And exhale.
Let it go.
Let it settle into your heart space.
