Welcome,
Meditators,
To this Affirmations for a Joy-Filled Day meditation.
My intention with this meditation is to remind you that even if your day does not go as expected or as you had hoped,
That you remember that joy is still accessible and joy still exists.
Now taking these next few moments here to find a nice comfortable seat.
You could be sitting in a chair or on a cushion or lying down.
An option to either close the eyes or keep the eyes open,
Whichever you prefer.
And as you take your time here to get nice and comfortable,
Start to relax and bring yourself fully into this present moment.
One of the most powerful ways in which we can bring ourselves into the present moment is through the breath.
So noticing here the breath as you breathe in through the nose and out through the nose.
Just allowing the breath to be gentle,
Allowing the breath to be easy.
Inhaling gently through the nose and exhaling gently out the nose.
Inhale and exhale.
A couple more times.
Inhale,
Exhale.
Inhale and exhale.
And on this next inhale,
Imagine that you're breathing in joy,
Feeling it as warmth as it enters into your body.
And on your exhale,
Breathing out anything that may block you from your joy and happiness.
Two more times.
Inhale breathing in joy,
Feeling the warmth,
Feeling the expansion.
And exhale,
Imagine letting go of anything that is blocking you from your happiness.
One more time here together,
Breathing in,
Breathing in that sensation,
That feeling of joy,
Maybe even a little smile.
And then exhale,
Let go of anything blocking your joy and your happiness.
Beautiful.
Now moving into our affirmation practice.
I will repeat each affirmation with room for you to repeat it yourself either out loud or to yourself.
There are 10 affirmations total.
And I encourage you to take a nice big deep breath in between each affirmation,
Allowing the breath to really anchor the affirmation into your body.
Let's begin.
The joy that I seek is already within me.
I step fully into joy as my natural state of being.
Even if things go awry,
I will remember that joy is available to me.
I am living joy.
I allow the joy I feel to ripple out into the world.
I give myself permission to do things that bring me joy today.
Joy is my default setting.
I welcome all joyful experiences available to me.
My joy matters.
Today I wholeheartedly and intentionally choose joy.
To end our meditation today,
Let's take three more breaths together.
Big inhale through the nose,
Filling up on that joy,
Filling up on that warmth.
And exhale.
Two more.
Inhale.
Exhale,
Let it go.
Last time.
Breathe in joy.
Take a full,
Deep,
Big breath in.
And exhale,
Let it go.
May your day be full of joy and happiness.
