So,

For this exercise,

I'd like you to sit comfortably and close your eyes.

And please make your eyes soft.

And the way to do this is to relax the muscles around your eyes.

And imagine you're looking at a cute little baby or a little puppy or kitten.

And take a slow deep breath.

And just relax there for a little bit.

So what I'd like you to do is to please visualize a bowl.

And any bowl will do.

A mixing bowl,

A cereal bowl,

A soup bowl,

Any bowl.

And a bowl is useful,

Of course,

But what is really useful is the empty space inside of it.

So what I'd like you to do is to direct your attention to the empty space inside the bowl.

And just rest your attention on the empty space.

Now in your mind,

Please now take away the bottom of the bowl so that only the sides of the bowl are left.

And please keep your attention rested on the empty space in the bowl.

The empty space hasn't changed.

Now in your mind,

Please take away the sides of the bowl as well.

And please keep your attention rested on the empty space of the bowl.

And of course the empty space of the bowl has not changed.

Okay.
